DEFENCE SERVICE (AMENDMENT No. 15) LAW, 5743-1983*
   
Addition of section 18. 1. In the Defence Service Law (Consolidated Version) 5719-1959(1), the following section shall be inserted after section 17:
"Assurance of elementary education. 18. Where a soldier's educational level falls short of an elementary educational level defined by regulations, three months of his regular service shall be allotted to the impartment of education in the manner and on conditions prescribed by regulations. Regulations under this section shall be made with the consent of the Minister of Education and Culture after consultation with the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee of the Knesset.".
