| Since we have observed that students in our school tend to switch on the air-conditioners when it is not hot and leaving the doors and windows opened at the same time, we proposed to the school that regulations were to be made for effective and more environmentally-friendly use of air-conditioners. Awareness has been raised and now students always remember to close the windows and doors when they switch on the air-conditioners. Also, now they pay more attention to the natural temperature when they switch on the air-conditioners. The main idea of the proposal is that we encourage students to switch off the air-conditioners when the temperature is below 26C with low humidity. There are also monitors to encourage and check that the air-conditioners are used only when necessary. Apart from proposing to the school, we have also sent the proposal to an environmental organisation. |
