Our Aim
The Reasons
The conflicts between the Arab and Israeli world is probably the most difficult to solve. It does not only involve the whole world, but also is a result of hatred.

The Jews had always longed for a homeland after they lost it in the 2nd Century. After World War II, due to the Hitler's genocide that killed 600 thousands Jews, there was a strong need to set up a homeland for the Jews. Palestine was divided into an Arab and a Jewish state by the United Nations but the Arabs did not accept the plan because they got a smaller piece of land. In 1948, Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq started a war on the Jewish state and they wanted to destroy it. Since then, conflicts continued between the two sides.

After the Six-Day War in 1967, when Israel claimed that it wanted security and attacked Egypt, Jordan and Syria, and occupying Sinai, the West Bank and the Golan Heights, the Arab turned to terrorism as they found that they could not win in a general war with the Israelis. Since then, the Arabs launched many terror attacks like suicide bombings and assassinations while Israel used its army with the support of the United States. A high number of casualties resulted in both sides throughout the decades, and most of them innocent civilians.

This hatred does not stay in Palestine, but also spread to the whole world. For the past 10 years, there have been many terror attacks aimed to the western world because of their support to Israel, or because their army was in other Arab states. On 11th September, 2001 in the United States, 4 planes were hijacked, 1 crashed to the ground, 1 crashing into the Pentagon, and the other 2 crashing into the World Trade Centers in New York, completely destroying the buildings. Nearly 3000 lives were taken in this disaster. This is not an isolated attack, on 7th July, 2005, London was attacked and innocent people were killed.

In the war in Lebanon recently, among the casualties, most of them were civilians.

There is not much anyone can do to stop the conflict. Every time an attack is launched the people look up to their own military power more, and hate the other side more. So if the conflict is to be solved, and the hatred is to be turned into love, or at least friendship, all the attacks must be stopped. Both sides want stability, but how do they get stability when they keep creating hatred?
