| Alan Borger: The (Southglen) bridge will be paid for by the joint venture (Grandin Park Developments Ltd. , a joint venture with Ladco and the Province of Manitoba) DID YOU KNOW THAT MANITOBAN TAXPAYERS ARE PAYING FOR OVER A THIRD OF THE "FREE" BRIDGE'S BUILDING COSTS? Richard Cloutier: They (SOS) are saying in a press release and they are taking shots at our guest here on CJOB, Mr Borgers inaccurate and disparaging remarks are detrimentally affecting Save Our Seines integrity and efforts to raise funds necessary to purchase the forest from Grandin Park Developments Ltd., a joint venture with Ladco and the Province of Manitoba. This organization (SOS), Mr. Borger, they actually want to buy this land from you, do they not? Alan Borger: Um, IM NOT SURE, it appears that based upon the GPP report, and based upon correspondence that Ive also seen, that, yes, the SOS would like to GET CONTROL OF IT. Its really not for sale to the SOS. Weve worked out a deal with the City whereby the City would acquire from 75 to 88.5 acres. As Ive said earlier, 84 to 98.6% of the woodlot.Well, to be honest with you, based on the GPP report that was prepared for the SOS, back in March of 2001, the group is contemplating what we consider to be wholesale development of the forest area and we are very concerned and opposed to that sort of development.
