Proposed Site of LNG Plant at Port Westward
The proposed LNG storage facility will be located on the Columbia River adjacent to the Beaver co-generation power plant. The ship terminal would be built downriver of the existing dock. This area is considered essential fish habitat used by a variety of salmon species throughout the year. In addition, several generations of commercial fisherman have relied on these waters for their livelihood. The shore across from the proposed facility is a popular Washington state sport fishing area.
