| The Dream Written by: Rose Demarest I woke up one day, and was shocked at what I saw, A long line of people standing tall. The line , much longer than i had ever seen , people of all color, sex, and creed. I stepped out of line To look way ahead, A large set of stairs leding to a man. As the line moved forward I noticed something new, in my hand I held A large white pail. I tried to see what was inside, but my eyes could not focus it wasnt the right time. As I watched people walk, Up the long stairs.. My hands became shaky and I became scared. I walked ahead Till I reached the steps Looking up I saw Him, and He gently said... Come My child Just as you are and he bent down. I dumped the pail out Over his head and to my surprise the liquid was red. It was a symbol of the bl*** He had shed. I fell to my knees And cried out... Dear Lord I'm sorry For all I have done. In gentle words he said... Rise up My child I have taken your sin and now all is done. Go on your way Live as you should and when sin comes your way You'll rember this day. Back |
