Just Sleep

Just sleep, she said, and I tried.
But when I thought of her. My sleep was denied.
I tossed and turned all throughout the night,
The remnants of her kiss a burgeoning delight.

Luminescent moonbeams filtered by.
I lost myself within the brilliance of her grey eyes.
Visualizing the complexion of her face.
I recalled the torrid heat of her embrace.

Shes my crimson angel sent by god above.
Shes the only woman worthy of my love.
Like a river, my love for her runs deep.
But for her I gladly lose one night of sleep.
