Barriers of Confinement

Tranquil beaches are out of reach.
A staircase does my entrance breach.
Crowed isles and narrow minds
senseless barriers do confine.

Rampless streets, no parking spaces,
crowded malls, no crippled faces.
A nations conscience seems unaware.
Of the viewpoint from a metal chair

Protest marches confrontation.
A struggle spawned by frustration
With conviction we must seek redress
Full independence nothing less.
