She appeared to me quite heavensent, As she danced a divertissement Without a plot or true intent, Full of grace she caught my eye. Furiously she turned in a fouett�, On pointe she did a pirouette. Her jet� I never will forget, As I watched her by and by. In a Port de Bras, her arms did pose, More poetic then romantic prose. With but one saut� she quickly rose, Her momentum took her high. The Danseur Noble enters from the right, A cabriole completed at loftily heights. Their Pas de Deux, was sheer delight Encore! The gathered masses cry. Brian Bressler � 2006 |
