A Ballet Tour

She appeared to me quite heavensent,
As she danced a divertissement
Without a plot or true intent,
Full of grace she caught my eye.

Furiously she turned in a fouett,
On pointe she did a pirouette.
Her jet I never will forget,
As I watched her by and by.

In a Port de Bras, her arms did pose,
More poetic then romantic prose.
With but one saut she quickly rose,
Her momentum took her high.

The Danseur Noble enters  from the right,
A cabriole completed at loftily heights.
Their Pas de Deux, was sheer delight
Encore! The gathered masses cry.
