The moon shone as Sailor Moon ran. What was worse, she was running from the other Sailor Scouts. They were chasing her relentlessly, but Sailor Moon held her ground. The Sailor Scouts surrounded her, and Jupiter said,

"Give us the wand, Sailor Moon!"

"Don't make us come and get it!" Venus continued.

"It's over, Sailor Moon. Don't be stubborn." Mercury said.

Sailor Moon stood her ground, and Mars attacked.

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!!!!"

The blast of fire hit everybody. Meanwhile, a figure watched from the shadows.

Beryl's crystal ball was emitting powerful bursts of energy, and Beryl shielded herself. She wondered where the energy was coming from, and Malachite said that there was friction between the Sailor Scouts. He called on his assistant, Ninjana. She came, and threw both Malachite and Beryl a piece of paper. Beryl wanted to know what it was, and Ninjana revealed that it was a picture of the Sailor Scouts going after Sailor Moon. Ninjana surmised that the Sailor Scouts wanted to get rid of her, and keep the wand for themselves. Beryl said that it could be a trick, but it looked real. Malachite said that Ninjana didn't make mistakes. Ninjana left.

The jewelry store that belonged to the family of Molly Baker was being robbed.

"Nice. Perfect for my little black dress." The criminal said to herself. It was Ninjana.

Suddenly, the lights came on, and the Bakers were confronting Ninjana. Ninjana pinned them to the wall, and it was then that Sailor Moon appeared. Then, the Sailor Scouts interrupted.

"We're supposed to fight as one, remember?" Mars said.

"I am one!" Sailor Moon screamed.

"Leadership's gone to your head." Jupiter stated. Venus continued,

"Prima donna."

Meanwhile, Ninjana disappeared behind a pillar, and came out looking like a reporter. She started taking pictures of the Sailor Scouts, and Venus said angrily,

"Who do you think you are, coming in here and snapping all those pictures? And how did you know we were here, anyway?"

The reporter said it was a secret. She asked if there was any truth to the fact that the Sailor Scouts were splitting up. She held up a tape recorder to Sailor Moon, and she thought that it was a show with a hidden camera. When her friends turned her noses at her, Sailor Moon was less than enthusiastic. The reporter asked for the dirt on Sailor Moon from the Sailor Scouts, and they left, with the reporter following them.

Molly called out to Sailor Moon to help them down, and she did. Meanwhile, Luna and Artemis noticed something weird about the reporter.

The next day, Serena and Molly were walking to school. Molly told Serena that the Sailor Scouts were talking about splitting up, and Serena said that maybe she'd gotten it wrong. Then, the reporter came to them, asking for information. She introduced herself as Nancy Vargas of the Daily Surprise. She asked Serena if she had any information about the Sailor Scouts splitting up, and Serena said that she didn't. Nancy pressed, and Serena said to ask Molly. Nancy went right to the poor child, and told her to spill about the Sailor Scouts. Meanwhile, Serena was creeping away, and Molly tried to get away by saying that she couldn't remember because of post-burglary shock. Nancy went her way, and Luna was suspicious.

Sailor Moon had made her way to the Cherry Hill Temple that night, and was once again pursued by the Sailor Scouts. Sailor Moon was valiant, as Sailor Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus attacked and missed. It was Mars that made the difference. Sailor Moon fell to the ground, and said,

"All right, that's it! No more using my butt for practice kicks!" Sailor Moon told Mars to give her role as the hunted a try, and Mars said that it was her idea. Sailor Moon said that there had to be a better way of finding the entrance to the Negaverse, and Mars argued that if she wanted to free Tuxedo Mask, she would have to take a few knocks. Sailor Moon asked if they could do this a little more gently, and Mars said to her that she volunteered. Luna said that it was too late to stop the plan, and Sailor Moon said,

"Stop it. You're making my head ache."

At the temple the next day, Artemis revealed that the Daily Surprise had an article about the Sailor Scouts splitting up. Raye looked at the picture, and said that Serena's mouth looked huge. Serena was angry, and Mina said nervously,

"Maybe it's the angle?"

Artemis said to stop fighting, and went on to explain that Nancy Vargas was a reporter who usually busied herself with stories of national intrigue, and not petty little stories like the Sailor Scouts splitting up.

"All right!" Serena said, "that means I'm a much better actor than I thought!"

Serena said that the Negaverse thought that she wanted to ditch them, and Amy corrected her.

"You mean we want to ditch you, right?"

Lita said,

"I know you can do this. But, we'll be standing by if you happen to get into any trouble!"

"That's guaranteed with Serena." Raye said. Serena got inordinately angry, and said to Raye that maybe she wouldn't mind if she did quit. Raye said that was ancient history, and they stuck their tongues out at one another. Amy said,

"Anybody got a bottle of aspirin?"

Serena went to the house of Nancy Vargas, with a small envelope. The reporter's house was enormous, and she rang the bell. Nancy answered, and Serena gave her the message. She looked at it, and said that the grammar was horrible (Not like mine, right? ;-)). Sailor Moon wanted to meet her at Memorial Park to discuss leaving the Sailor Scouts at 11:00 that evening. Nancy asked how Serena got the letter, and Serena said that Molly gave it to her.

In the Negaverse, Malachite received the note from Sailor Moon. He said that she couldn't spell. He thought to himself, Wouldn't want to miss Sailor Moon's surrender!

That night, Sailor Moon waited while the clock struck eleven. Ninjana appeared behind her, and said,

"Sailor Moon, I presume?" Sailor Moon wheeled around, and saw Nancy Vargas. After some reminding that she was the one asking the questions, she asked if she was retiring from the hero business. Sailor Moon said she was, because of petty jealousy. Nancy rose into the air, and turned into Ninjana. Then, Malachite appeared. Sailor Moon said that if she'd known he was coming, she wouldn't have wasted time with the air head.

"Who are you calling an air head?!" Ninjana retorted. "Sorry, must have been mis-quoted." Sailor Moon replied.

Malachite wasted no time. He made a deal. Sailor Moon would give them the Imperium Silver Crystal, and in exchange, she could go back to the Negaverse with them. Sailor Moon said that she was not going to that, and she didn't come to make any deals. Malachite mentioned that Tuxedo Mask wasn't doing so well, and Sailor Moon had to believe that Malachite was bluffing. He said that the last battle really took it out of him.

"But I'm sure he'll feel better if you're around. Come back with us, and you two can be together like you want."

Sailor Moon said that Tuxedo Mask didn't remember her, and Malachite said that he did. Sailor Moon said he was lying.

"I don't appreciate being called a liar!" Malachite said, after descending from above. He told her to give him the Crescent Moon Wand, and Sailor Moon thought that maybe she could trick the Negaverse, and get Tuxedo Mask back. Sailor Moon proposed to Malachite that they bring Tuxedo Mask to her then she makes him well, and gives them the wand. Mars, who was hiding in the bushes with the other Sailor Scouts, couldn't believe that Sailor Moon would give up the wand. Ninjana noticed them, and Malachite said not to bother. He said to Sailor Moon that Tuxedo Mask wasn't strong enough for travel, and Sailor Moon said to forget it. Malachite created a portal behind Sailor Moon, and she thought it was creepy. Malachite asked if she was afraid, and Sailor Moon said that she wasn't. She made sure that Malachite wasn't going to let the "Sailor Brats" follow her. Mars was anything but unoffended. Sailor Moon said that she had to know more about the warp hole, and said that she didn't trust them. Ninjana took off her headband, and wrapped it around Sailor Moon's neck. The Sailor Scouts watched as Sailor Moon choked, and Mercury said that they had to help. Jupiter said that they had to stick to the plan. Malachite told Sailor Moon to give him the wand. Jupiter went to go help Sailor Moon, but Mars stopped her, saying that they had to stick with the plan. Jupiter said that the plan had failed, and the Negaverse would get the Moon Wand. Mars said that they wouldn't, and revealed to them that she had it. She explained that Serena left it under her bed. Sailor Moon called for help, and thought telepathically, You've gotta help me protect the crystal. Mars couldn't stand it. The Sailor Scouts charged, and Jupiter said,

"Hey, it's about time!"

Malachite said that the Sailor Scouts were a team after all, and Sailor Mars said that everyone made mistakes.

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!!!"

Sailor Moon was freed. Jupiter and Venus attacked Malachite.

"JUPITER THUNDER..."

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM..."

"...CRASH!!!"

"...SMASH!!"

Malachite blocked the blast, and retreated. Ninjana was about to attack Sailor Moon, and Mars threw the Crescent Moon Wand to her. Ninjana multiplied herself, and asked who was first.

"I'll go." Sailor Mercury said.

"MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!!"

Mars attacked, to lower the chances of Ninjana getting away. All the Ninjanas disappeared, save for one, and Sailor Moon, once again, finished the job.

"MOON HEALING ACTIVATION!!"

Nancy Vargas was restored. Sailor Moon went to Sailor Mars, and asked her why she had the wand. Mars said that it had been left under her bed, and the two argued. Meanwhile, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter were standing together.

"Who wants ice cream?" Venus said.

"I do, but they're not invited." Jupiter replied.

Nancy came up to the arguing Sailors, and asked if there was any truth to the split up of the Sailor Scouts.

"Sorry," Sailor Moon said, "no comment!"
