Sleeping Away
What was it you said to me? Im sorry I was asleep.
Sleeping away. My ends are more than frayed.
My appearance is all you see. Then again thats all of me.
And nice words are comforting. But Im not sure I feel anything.

Passing by all this while
Ive been sitting in this aisle
What you ask isnt what you want to know
I lay back and tell you though
Better sores grow and slowly die
We can only stir here in lonely cry

What was it you said to me? Im sorry I was asleep.
Sleeping away. My ends are more than frayed.
My appearance is all you see. Then again thats all of me.
And nice words are comforting. But Im not sure I feel anything.

Our love we once shared
You shot down and I tried to repair
Down times wont let me go
In rye I drown alone
Stepping back to let you go ahead
My love youll have until Im dead

All you said to me was "Im sorry I was asleep."
Sleeping away. My ends are more than frayed.
My appearance is all you see. Then again thats all of me.
And nice words are comforting. But Im not sure I feel anything.
