Meeting Minutes
What an exciting month so far for Saturday Sunrise. We had two members earn Toastmasters awards, Walt receiving the Competent Leader award and Mary completing her 10th speech for the Competent Toastmaster award. We had a nearly a full house for September 13th meeting and all of the guests expressed interest in joining the club. You are most welcome and we look forward to seeing you at future meetings. Our meeting opened up with a hilarious joke from Will, followed by a tip from Dolores - never despair. Michael, the Toastmaster of the meeting gave the thought on not putting yourself down. Dave gave the word of the day - felicitous. Mary conducted the Table Topics session on what colors mean to you. Michael was voted best Table Topic speaker. We had 4 prepared speeches given - Michael gave his #7 speech entitled "Operation Picket Fence", Dave gave his #9 speech entitled "Our War", Mary gave her #10 speech entitled "Attitude of Gratitude" and Helen gave an advanced speech entitled "A Visit From the President".
