General information: Ward is thirty five, built like a brick house and bloody huge. He's  back into the Corus Rogue after a thirteen year break, during which he ran with the Caynn branch.  He loves kids but himself is single and has only one, a grown son. Rather scary to look at, he enjoys the fact that people expect him to grunt not talk due to his appearance. He works mostly as hired muscle. He is tenacious and stubborn to the point of stupidity. He spends a lot of time with the corners of his mouth quirked in amusement. His eye tends to twinkle a lot as well. He's a General for the Rogue, which makes him inferior to Renee and Pete, level with Darryl.
He's a full time nasty piece of muscle for hire. Good for threats, guarding, impressing people, torture and  general beatings

He recently lost an eye to some angry dock workers, and is currently wearing a red tie over the mutilated socket of his left eye.

Name: Ward Thompson

Where he lives:
Tashy is having him move to t he inn soonish

P
lace of Birth: Corus
Family: Parents are both dead now of natural causes, no brothers or sisters. A bastard son who is eighteen now, somewhere in Corus.

Appearance:
Almost totally bald, out of choice, the stubble there shows the beginning of a widows peak. A deceivingly intelligent looking face with seemingly gentle eyes, the left is now missing totally, leaving a puckered nasty looking scar socket. He wears a bandage over it. His remaining eye is brown and gentle. A broad nose is underlined by wide lips, the face appears kind enough, if slightly reticent. His mouth quirks at the corners when he is amused. This effect is nullified totally by his massive body. He is one bulked man, muscles like steel. However because of his bulk he isnt very speedy. His torso is quite literally covered in scar tissue, as a lad he knife fought for a living for a while He has, a squarish chin and jaw, fairly flat cheekbones but sharpish eyebrow ridges, which is how he ended up with a bad enough split to scar. Wrinkles show across his forehead and between his eyebrows, and as crows feet at the corners of his eyes.   He stands at a tall 65 and is wide shouldered, making his size appear bigger. Has a bit of a bull neck and not a lot of muscle definition until he tenses his arms and back, then, its almost obscene.

Clothing: Nothing set. Mostly shirts that let his fearsome bulk be shown: as its part of his job to be scary. A cloak if its cold. Breeches and boots, carries a knife at his waist and always wears a belt. His weapon of choice, a kebin lives up his sleeve. A kebin is a straight piece of hardwood with a blade that twists out using it like a scabbard, but the casing itself is a weapon, capable of deflecting blades and inflicting nasty blows.

Personality:
Ward has been described as intimidating because of his obvious strength. However he is surprisingly intellectual and very kind if he takes to you. If you dont appeal then he will be stiltingly polite/. He gets on with women and men equally, but doesnt like bitchiness in either. If they make him feel small he wont bother talking to them again. He can have problems taking things as jokes, which sometimes means he argues with people through simple misunderstanding. Weirdly enough Ward loves children; he finds them fascinating and can talk to them better than adults if they are chatty. He acts very paternally towards kids that like him, and is easily adopted and then pushed around, especially by under tens.  He wants kids of his own but figures hes probably left it too late, as he doesnt even have a women let alone a wife. He is open to the idea of adoption though.

Ward often feels awkward if he is infringing on a private conversation so frequently doesnt interrupt. Although if someone talks to him his friendly side emerges swiftly.

He is very tenacious, once he starts something he becomes hell bent on finishing it, stubbornly refusing to believe he may not succeed. He is iron-willed and unyielding, -hating- to admit defeat in the most stupid of matters.

He is surprisingly intelligent, really, the words coming out of his mouth are just.. so unfitting to his shape.

Strengths: Brute power- his muscle is on the iron side. Knows when to just shut up and do something, and is generally good at obeying his superiors no questions. He knows a good bit about torturing and about poison.

Weaknesses: Goes into things a bit blindly sometimes. His fighting knowledge isnt all that hot, he mostly relies on the fact he is massive and scary.

History: He was born in Corus, raised by his father and mother, and started following his father around from a young age, learning tricks that would be useful to him in his ambition to join the Rogue. Did so aged sixteen and worked for them as a general nasty piece of work until he was twenty two, when he fell very firmly on the bad side of the Provost and had to leave Corus. Has returned now, having grown up a lot, in the hopes of getting back into the Corus Rogue, having been with the Caynn branch for the past thirteen years. Nothing especially exciting happened in Caynn, a fairly average Roguely life. He was married once, and his wife died, but he's well over that now. Past is past.

All his life he has been working on his strength, he was naturally a big lad and just built it up with a lot of effort and time.

What is your character most ashamed of?: The fact that he got caught: had to be busted out by the Rogue, and then leave Corus. He feels he was sloppy.

What makes your character unique?: His sense of humour is a little quirky.
