now granted much of these words were written by campers but i think you can find deep meaning as to how they were feeling when these words were written. i think this song can be seen as an allegory into the human spirit.
The clouds are white but the sky is blue (the
author is clearly having issues and therefore is trying to remember something
safe.)
the geese by the pond had their feathers plucked
watch the emu and think of you (The emu
actually should be written as E.M.U. which stands for "End of the Mustard
Utopia" which must be a source of great mental pain for the author, this
pain reminds them of you, because you suck.)

the author. The person desperately wants to "Phone Home" and hear the news.)

means that the author finds it impossible to discuss "Sphen" Sphen stands
for Stupid Phish Heads Eat Noodles. The author takes offense to this egregious
stereotype.)
