venus

Venus is about the same size as Earth but it has no moon. Yellow clouds surround the Venus. These reflect light from the Sun and make this planet shine in the early morning and in the evening. Because it looks so beautiful, Venus is named after the Roman goddess of love.

Yet, no one could go to Venus because the clouds and the air there are poisonous. Also, the air pressure there could crush a person at once. Venus takes about 225 Earth days to travel around the Sun. It takes 243 days and 5 hours rotate on its axis once. Strangely enough, it rotates from east to west, just the opposite of Earth.

The blanket of air (or atmosphere) around the Venus holds in the Sun's heat. Under the beautiful clouds, Venus is like a baking hot desert with deep craters. There are volcanoes that spit out glowing hot rocks.

Venus is very hot that metal would melt on it and anyone going there would be roasted in second! Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system.
