Recording Policy
1. The current rate is $20 an hour. Payment is due before or after each session of each day. Recording times are available from 9 am to 5 pm for Drums and Vocals - and other loud instruments - and 10 am to 10 pm for Guitar and Bass. TWO HOUR MINIMUM - FIRST HOUR FREE for first time clients. Expect the recording/editing/mixing of the drums to be at least 3 or 4 hours. No Masters or copies will be released until all charges are paid in full.
2. Structure; I record in the following order: Drums > Guitar > Bass > Vocals. Songs are recorded at 44K/24 bit resolution. The use of a metronome is enforced while recording. This makes everything easier for both the client and engineer. Know the tempo changes before coming over!
3. Come prepared; Bring own guitars/instruments. Drums/drum accessories are mostly covered by the Studio [vinyl-tip drum sticks are required for the drums].
4. Satori Records and all people employed at Satori Records are not held liable for damaged or loss of song files. Clients are encouraged to purchase external hard drives. This is so the clients may easily transfer master files to other studios as well as actually being in charge of the safety of the master song files.
