Tag Team Title Match:

Directors Cut (Nexus VII and Bladerunner) vs Wet N Wild (Clint Rogers and Steve Barton)

Marcus: Alright, we just saw an amazing Cruiserweight title match, and now we're going to see the Tag team titles defended!

Mike: that's right, Clint Rogers and Steve Barton, collectivly known as Wet N Wild, are on a tear here in SHAFT! I believe they're undefeated, but they've beaten the best of the best here so far, with wins over teams like Conflicting Stiles, The Davis Bros, and the Asian Express who they beat in the finals of the tournament for their tag gold.

Marcus: Directors Cut is debuting here and already getting a title shot! either Eddie Lukin sees something in these guys, or SHAFT is just already out of opponents for the champs.

Marcus: and here we go! Clint Rogers starting off with Nexus VII... Rogers throws a couple punches right off the bat, but they're blocked by Nexus, and Nexus nails Rogers with a quick elbow to the back of the head. Rogers right back up, he walks backwards a bit, Nexus grabs hold of him, but Rogers elbows him down.

Mike: both guys using elbows to start this match off, good way to destroy cartelidge while damaging your oppoent. great job guys.

Marcus: thank you Doctor Sarcasm.

Mike: no prob.

Marcus: Rogers now swings again with those punches, Nexus ducks, and takes him down with a drop toe hold. Clint up, and he goes and tags in Barton. both men go for a double team move, but Nexus kicks them both off, Barton right back up, and he lays a double axe handle blow into the back of Nexus

Mike: Nexus right back up though, he's showing his resiliance early on.

Marcus: Nexus thrown to the ropes, Barton runs at him, Nexus ducks the clothesline, Nexus throws a punch, blocked by Barton, Barton throws him to the ropes, Nexus reverses, Nexus waits for him, Barton comes back and plows Nexus over!

Marcus: Barton throws Nexus to his corner, Barton comes in, and Nexus axe kicks him down! Nexus now throws Barton to the ropes, runs at him, and hits a flying double throat chop!

Mike: Nexus on the offense now, no wait I spoke too soon there as Barton slams him to the canvas

Marcus: Barton pulls him up and throws him to the ropes, Barton off the opposite ropes, comes back, and... nails him with an Axe Bomber! and Nexus hurries to his corner to tag in Bladerunner

Marcus: Bladerunner comes in, and Barton runs at him... big mistake, he gets caught, and... Double Diamond Cutter by Directors Cut there!

Mike: maybe they should call that the Directors Cutter, haw haw!

Marcus: yes very good...

Marcus: Barton gets to his corner now and tags Clint Rogers back in, both guys go for a double team, but Bladerunner kicks both of them off, and Barton rolls back out of the ring.

Mike: these guys are looking impressive in their debut, showing they can double team but thwart the double team of their opponents.

Marcus: it looks that way, as Clint throws Bladerunner to the ropes... the ref gets in the way and gets knocked down! and Bladerunner nails Clint with a low blow!

Mike: smart move by Bladerunner to capitalize there. Clint back up, and he elbows Bladerunner in the face, but he's still feeling the effect of that lowblow as he backs off a bit.

Marcus: Bladerunner to his feet, as is the ref... Clint grabs Bladerunner by the neck, and takes him down with a swinging neckbreaker.

Marcus: Clint back in control here now as he pulls Bladerunner up and slams him right back down, now he takes a run at the ropes, comes back, and... big Senton! now he flips him over, and... look at the pressure applied there!

Mike: I think Nexus can see it as he comes in and kicks Rogers off his partner, good save, smart tag team wrestling by these two newcomers.

Marcus: Clint now back to his feet and he slams Bladerunner down again, and gives him another senton! Bladerunner to his feet, Clint backs off a bit, Bladerunner charges in, and gets nailed with a Side Russian Legsweep for his efforts!

Mike: Clint showing why he's one half of the tag team champions now, and he goes and tags out to Barton.

Marcus: Barton seems to be the powerman in this group, and he shows it by picking Bladerunner up, and dropping him down hard with a falling front slam, and now he runs to the ropes, and... Big Splash! 1.....2....NO! Nexus in and he just barely makes the save!

Mike: Barton had Bladerunner all the way in his corner, if Clint had've been paying attention instead of lookin at that chick in the 3rd row, this would have been over.

Marcus: Barton chases Nexus back out of the ring, he turns around, Bladerunner takes a swing and misses... Barton picks him up, and drops him down with a falling front slam again! he pulls him back to his feet, and... delivers AGAIN!

Mike: Barton showing no mercy, he drives this new guy into the mat like he was nothing!

Marcus: Barton pulls Bladerunner back to his feet, and whips him to the ropes, Barton follows, and... Thesz press! the ref counts 1......2 and Nexus in there to break it up again.

Marcus: Barton not happy with Nexus again as he chases him to his corner, he turns around, and gets kicked in the stomach by Bladerunner, no he catches it... Bladerunner jumps up, and lands an Enzuigiri!

Mike: the vicious back brain kick, and Bladerunner now finally able to make the tag.

Marcus: good thinking by Bladerunner getting Nexus in there, Nexus now goes to work punching Barton in the face, and now he drives the elbow into him.

Mike: Barton still looking strong here as he gets up, and slams Nexus down, and goes for a cover, 1....2, Bladerunner makes the save.

Marcus: Barton stands up and delivers a big Double Axe Handle to the back of Bladerunner, now one to Nexus, he pulls Nexus up, and locks in a sleeper!

Mike: and here comes Clint to make sure we don't see anymore interference from Bladerunner.

Marcus: Nexus breaks the hold by elbowing Mike in the gut, and now he scoops Clint up and takes him down, and here he goes up to the top... Legdrop... Misses! Clint back to his corner, as Barton throws Clint to the ropes and nails him with an Axe Bomber near his own corner!

Mike: talk about adding insult to injury as... oh my god!

Marcus: Barton with a HUGE Powerbomb there!  he picks him right back up, slams him down, and... he starts the taunting!

Mike: Barton telling him to kiss his ass there I guess, and Nexus doesn't appreciate that as he pops right back up and whips Barton to the ropes!

Marcus: Nexus runs at him and nails him with another flying throat chop, and a cover, 1....2, Clint makes the save! Barton picks Nexus up, and... Powerbombs him down again! Clint to the ropes, and... big running Senton!

Marcus: Nexus slowly to his feet, and Barton sets up for another Powerbomb... Nexus reverses with a Frankensteiner, drilling Barton's head into the canvas! he holds on but Clint quickly makes the save, and heads back to his corner. Nexus turns around, and Barton picks him up... Torture Rack... Into a Powerbomb!!!

Mike: Brutal move, Barton holds on but they're in the ropes, and Nexus lucky to not get pinned there.

Marcus: well Bladerunner comes in anyway, he's looking to even things up a bit here I guess. Barton turns his back to Nexus, bad move, Nexus grabs him in a Cobra Clutch, and falls backwards into a Side Russian Legsweep!

Mike: wow, Nexus showing us some moves we haven't really seen in SHAFT, but Barton not impressed as he pops right back up, and Powerbombs Nexus right down!

Marcus: those powerbombs have got to be taking their toll on the newcomer Nexus here.

Marcus: Barton now tags out to Clint Rogers, Barton though going back for more, he grabs Nexus, and... CRASH N BURN! Barton's finishing maneuver, and it's gotta be just about over for Nexus!

Mike: maybe not as Nexus able to drag himself to his corner and make the tag! Bladerunner back in, and he grabs Clints arm and twists it, then falls giving it some more twist!

Marcus: good move, trying to take the arms out from Clint, but he's gotta keep on him here

Mike: Clint back to his feet, and Bladerunner trying to keep on him... and he pays for it big time as Clint Rogers hits the Wipeout!

Marcus: that's gotta be it, but Clint not making the cover, he picks him up, and... jumps sideways, driving the back of Bladerunner's head into the canvas!

Mike: I don't know what you call that move but it was a good one! and... Clint is going to the top rope!

Marcus: He sure is, he perches himself up there, and waits for Bladerunner to stand up, and... JUMPING TORNADO DDT OFF THE TOP ROPE! incredible move!!!

Mike: incredible move, and Bladerunner is hurt! Clint knows it, he flips him over and follows up, Full Nelson Camel Clutch, and... Bladerunner taps! Bladerunner taps! it's over!

Marcus: wow! Nexus didn't even have time to try and make the save there as Bladerunner taps out, and Wet N Wild retain their tag team titles!
