I love Lifetime. I don't know how you can't.
Actually... I love Lifetime Original Movies. I don't like the shows they have on during waking hours. It's the movies that get you.
My favorite movie is "She Stands Alone", being the first one I ever saw, starring Tiffany Amber Theissan and some guy I recognize but don't know. It's about some girl who gets raped and no one believes her so they harass her for lying. Very good.
I had already seen "Fifteen and Pregnant" months before we watched it in health, and I loved it then. Yeah, I've seen the health movies before you have. Willingly.
So many stalking movies... watched one today about an older sister living in her younger sister's shadow. The younger sister's ex is going crazy, but the older sister starts to fall for him even thouguh he's stalking her little sister.
There was a really weird one about some dad cheating on his wife with his daughter's roommate... then ends up killing the roommate.
Which makes me think.
If Lifetime is a network for women, why are they beaten in every movie?
And why are people drawn to that?
If it's a stupid movie about some girl who "makes it in a man's world", I won't bother. But if in the process she gets taken hostage or beaten, I get my popcorn and my blanket and I just watch.
Why do I like seeing people dying?
At least I'm not the only one.
