Avoidance

It's not natural for someone to be lazy. It's just like, something we pick up, in effect by technology and role models. I suppose when humans were created (I won't get into how it came about), we were all so abundant due to our work ethicality, and things were going pretty well for humans.

God damn those geniuses, eh?

We are so lazy. Me especially. Ever pick up a newspaper and start reading an article, just to see "Continued on Page C6"? Yeah, I'm finished reading that. There's no way I'm going to keep reading. I mean, by the time I reach C6 I completely forget what I was reading about.

And what about when you're in, say, FYE buying a CD. And you're pretty much the only person in there. But you still have to go through those blue ropes to get up to the counter. That's fun. Sometimes I cheat, and go through the exit to get there. I get these looks from the cashiers, like 'She's either an idiot, or lazy.'

Then, there's the ultimate laziness. The one dreaded word that makes everyone feel really, unexplainably tired suddenly - Guestbook.

'Oh damn, I don't want to sign...' you all think.

I don't either. But honestly, it doesn't take that much effort. You'll ask me what's up online, but won't say how much you absolutely adore my site? Or just give me a feeble hello in my subprofile maybe? Come on now.

'Hey man, sign my guestbook,' I ask.

'Oh, I would... my computer's just so slow lately.'

...or...

'I'm going to right now...' Then just never do.

...or...

'Yeah, I will in a minute.'

I been there too, but please. I have 350-something visits, and 5 guestbook signatures - one of them is mine. SIGN IT, DAMN YOU.
