Luangpor Khamkhian Suwanno, a disciple of Luangpor Teean, is the Abbot of Wat Tahmafaiwan, a Sati Meditation Center in Chaiyaphum province of Thailand. He has been a monk for more than thirty years, and practiced Sati Meditation before becoming a monk. The temple he is staying now is a forest monastery. There are three monasteries in the same area that he is taking care of. He established meditation centers there more than twenty years ago. Since that area was poor and is still poor today, he not only teaches meditation but also encourages community development and helps people there. Now he has tried to emphasize more on the meditation aspect of the activities. He gives Dharma talks and meditation instructions not only in the regional temples but also around the country. In fact, he is the most well-known and respected master of Luangpor Teean’s Sati Meditation in Thailand. He was invited by the BAUS and stayed in Chuang Yen Monastery in 1994 and 1997 to teach Sati Meditation.
