Luangpor Maha-Direk Buddhayanandho was ordained as a monk in 1972.  He graduated from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University with a Bachelor Degree in Buddhism.  He also received a special training of Buddhist Missionary in Sri Lanka.  From 1977 to 1987, he studied Sati Meditation under Luangpor Teean.  Since 1987 to present, he has been a Sati Meditation master in Thailand and beginning 1997, started teaching in the U.S.A.  He is the Abbot of Wat Phraesaengteean in Phrae province in Thailand, and is the Abbot and Chairman of the Board of Buddhaya Nandharan Temple in Las Vegas.  Luangpor Maha-Direk was invited by the BAUS and stayed in Chuang Yen Monastery in 2000 to teach Sati Meditation.  Besides Thai, he speaks fluent English.
