FIRST
GRAND JURY TO SERVE IN THE PRESENT COURT HOUSE AT JESUP GEORGIA.
The corner stone of the new (present) Wayne County Court House
was laid in May 1903. This picture represents the First Grand
Jury of Wayne County to serve in that new house of justice. It
includes natives of now Wayne County, plus natives of old Wayne

Georgia pioneers were faithful to fulfill their responsibility
when travel, and overnight accommodations were scarce.
