The True Life
Harmonious is the world. To live in harmony with nature is to live the true life. The Universal Spirit manifests itself as the sky, earth, water, fire and air and thereby sustains the harmony of the universe.
The entire universe is a manifestation of the Universal Spirit. The universe is composed of magnetic atomic particles which combine to form the stellar worlds of the sun, moon, earth and stars. These move and function according to the Cosmic Laws.
Despite the diverse manifestations of the Universal Spirit, It tremains invisible, infinite and all - pervading. In the motionless state It is Sivam. When in motion It is Shakti. Here there is an accompaniment of form, attributes, energy and motion. Worlds thereby appear.
To pray to this formless, all-pervading Spirit various ways were devised. According to each man's mental capacity various forms and images of the Cosmic Spirit took shape. In the initial stages man visualizes the image and repeatedly impresses it upon his mind. Through constant repetition of the mantra the power of the mind increases. The power of the mantra, power of vision, mind-power and spiritual discipline all combine and encompass the entire being. Initially this combined power and energy serves man's material needs. But with growth in spiritually an awareness dawns - that the body, spirit, energy all are part and parcel of the one Universal Spirit.
