May 12th, 2002 So I counted it up the other day and it turns out that I'm 16 editions behind as of today. Bad journalist, Sarah. Bad, bad journalist. Anyway, I got off my proverbial butt and actually wrote edition #8 of the Sunday Scoop, so go and take a gander. You might also have noticed that there are a few pages missing from the site (Links and Pointless Stuff). They were taking up space that I might need one day, so they're in the scrap heap now. Anyway, I'll try to write more of my overdue editions in the free time that I have coming up, but no promises, because life is unpredictable--especially mine. Oh, and Happy Birthday to my fellow smart-ass journo, Brad. Ha, I'm still older ... ------------------------------------ March 19th, 2002 Yes, I am aware that I'm 10 issues behind, but hopefully it will all be sorted by Friday when I will actually have time to write something. I did have time today to update the PICTURES section though, so take a gander if you like :) You see, I acquired one of those things called a life and it has somewhat got in the way of my lying around time (but subsequently I've lost 5kgs, so yay me). Anyway, I got myself a hobby other than being a smart ass (it's Judo by the way and it totally rocks), also landed myself a part time job, uni is back in swing, and I somehow acquired another handful of new friends (as well as still having fun times with the old ones). Oh, and I had to evict the spiders from my bike, because I actually use it now. Who would have thunk two months ago that I'd be where I am now? Crazily busy and loving it ... ------------------------------------ January 18th, 2002 Well, I've just done a major overhaul (on the site, not my car--I don't even have a car. I have a bike, which I never use, but is very useful for housing spiders). The Sunday Scoop Edition #6 is up and so is Edition #7 seeing as it was supposed to be up last Sunday. Quote of the Moment and Word of the Moment are also up, and I've finally completed the construction on the About and Links pages, so for once I'm on time. Yay--gold star for me. Err, now I just have to write up Edition #8 for this coming Sunday. Blah, a critic's work is never done ... ------------------------------------ January 5th, 2002 Yes, I know I'm waaay behind, but my stupid puter has been broken and I've been having a life. Sue me. I've posted the new Sunday Scoop, which should have been up last Sunday. And I know that another is due tomorrow, but it won't be up until Tuesday (here's hoping) due to my birthday obligations and such, so you're all just going to have to wait. It wasn't my fault that I was born :-P But as the year is gone, I think some thanks are in order: To Tim and Ben for their splendiferous parties and for keeping it charmingly gay. To my uni friends for keeping me sane. Here's to many more years of fun and laughter. To my FF friends for being the unique bunch of people that you are. And last, but certainly not least, mucho gracias to Rahne--Mac of all my Donnells, Bitch of all my Mutts, Best of all my Friends--for doing what you do best; keeping it fun. And to anyone else whose path I have crossed, may this year be as splendiferous (if not better) than the last. -------------------------------------- December 20th, 2001 Ok, the site really needed a face-lift. I was getting so sick of those friggin' polka dots!!! So here it is: same content, whole new look. I figure black is simple; therefore, I won't get a headache every time I open my page. Damn polka dots. "What's with the pictures?" you ask. Well, I know that Lord of the Rings really has nothing to do with my site, but my obsession has been heightened by the approach of the movie, so I thought I'd pay a little homage for the time being. You don't like it? Bugger off then--it's my damn site! Oh, and after the whole Sunday Mail debacle with their movie section being called The Critical Eye, I've changed my article title to The Sunday Scoop seeing as I post it on a Sunday. I know; not as good as The Critical Eye, but oh well ... --------------------------------------- December 16th 2001 Ok, so I open up this morning's Sunday Mail and flip to the entertainment section (keeping that eager eye of mine out for Lord of the Rings stuff) and what do I see as the movie section title? The Critical Eye!!! Argh, I thought I was at least a teensy bit ingenious for coming up with that and now I find that it is already taken. ::sighs:: So that means that I have to come up with a new title for my articles. Any ideas? I was thinking something along the lines of Sarah's Sarcastic Scoop. Not really as classy, but to the point, no? Opinions? Oh, and I forgot to mention, if anyone has any requests, just post me a message or email me, and I'll see what I can do. Bare in mind that I live in Australia, so I might not get any of the regular overseas ads unless they're really popular. ---------------------------------------- December 14th 2001 Well I've updated the site. I got rid of the huge intro and added two new features: Quote of the Moment and Word of the Moment. I know a bunch of you have been waiting for Part 4 of The Critical Eye, but it won't be up until the 23rd of December, because I'm ahead of schedule with Part 3. Sorry. |
