A blade of approximately 18 inches in length, the Dyre Dagger is forged almost entirely of a platinum-like metal. Save for thin wrappings of gold about the grip and hilt, the dagger shines a true silvery light. The blade itself is as pale as the winter moon's light, and more reflective than the finest mirror...its surface never becoming blemished or dirtied, no matter what it cuts through. A glowing mist always surrounds the Dyre Dagger's blade, encompassing the edges and flat portions and drifting in constant motion. When swung, the dagger "sings" through the air with a sound akin to crystal chimes...when not in use it shifts between planes at Satan's side, resting invisibly where it's been bound to.
The Dyre Dagger has existed since the days preceding the birth of the stryfes, but not by much. It's been bound to Satan, numerous castings ensuring that none may wield or even grasp the blade aside from him...not even his progeny. Each and every member of the stryfe family has a direct connection to the dagger, through initiation ceremony and/or through birth. A stryfe's soul is bound to the dagger, and the two share a bond unlike any other...the stryfe bonding part of his or her own soul to the blade, but in turn gaining a bond with every other member of the family. In this way, a part of every stryfe's soul churns, mixes, and swirls perpetually with those of his or her fellows. The bond grants an awareness of eachothers' presence...and in cases such as father-son or mother-daughter, often they have a rough idea of eachothers' whereabouts. Particularly-enlightened stryfes have been known to feel sympathy pains when their Patriarch or another close family member is dealt a sharp wound; likewise, the sorrows, rages, and pride that flow through Satan are particularly strong and easily tapped through the bond.
The direct effects of the Dyre Dagger's bond are as follows: any enchantment, bound or otherwise, can be negated by a single swipe from the Dyre Dagger. Any stryfe may be struck down and smote by a single prick from the blade, if Satan's hand consciously directs it in such a manner. There are no exemptions to this rule; if you bear the name "stryfe" you fall as easily as one of the Three where the Dyre Dagger is concerned.
Other Artifacts/Items of Note
Royal Rapier of the vT- An elegant, well-balanced rapier with a gold hilt and grip, blade edged with silver. At the pommel is a round ruby with the vT ensignia etched in gold. This blade was given to Satanstryk when he first entered the lands of Tyran as an adult, and would have been wielded had he taken his place in the ranks of the vT. At present, the blade is kept quietly for sentimental value...he's never used it in aggression.
Set of Bronzed Skulls- Never spoken about now, these skulls rest in a crystal case in the Stryfe Halls. Rumour has it that each is truly the skull of a man or woman Satan personally defeated, dealing them the final death in the arena or elsewhere. The case contains 14 such objects.
8 Luminous Globes- These softball-sized globes rest within the Stryfe Halls along with the other artifacts, each pulsating in tandem with the others, to the pace of a mortal heartbeat. Each globe has its own circular stand with a 3' tripod to support it, and though words spoken of them have fallen silent along with the other items, each allegedly contains the very soul of one whom suffered defeat at the hands of Satan...and subsequently lost their very essence as it was forcibly drained from them.
Satan's Arsenal- Vast indeed, Satan's arsenal accounts for 2 weapons' lockers at strategic points in the Stryfe Halls. Satan's own personal weapons are locked up, and are seldom seen by outsiders. In all, the toys at stryfe disposal amount to:
