The Pain That Helped Me Grow

There is always an innocence to childhood.
If I could have the innocence back, I would.
Life gets hectic as a teen.
Now you look back and see that you were quite mean.
Not everything can go as well as you want.
Especially when you realize all the ones you have left to taunt.
You always found it better,
To pick on us through a letter.
You ended the friendships that were meant to be.
I hope this letter will make you see.
Open your eyes to the wonder,
And feel all the joy like thunder.
You are still who you were.
Still letting all those pots stir.
In time you will know,
That the pain has helped me grow.
I could always count on you,
To make me hurt the way you do.
But oh to see the inside,
Would be something I would do with pride.
Everyday I saw you there.
Always without a care.
But I turned back to see you cry,
And smiled because I knew you could try.
