August 17th 2002 - recommendation of Obstetrician ( Dr. Davey)
September 4th 2002 - first ob appointment,got to hear the heartbeat for the first time, what an amazing sound.. Had a MILLION questions, but the doctor was very nice and reassuring..
October 11th 2002 - routine checkup, again heard the heartbeat, scheduled an ultrasound!!! YAY!!! SOOOO excited for that part!!!!!
October 23rd 2002 - Day of the ultrasound, best day of my life. cried through the whole thing, she was the most beautiful thing i'd ever seen. also found out she was a she! yay!! (mommy knew all along, ask anyone ;) )
November 7th 2002 - another routine checkup, scheduled glucose test to rid possibilities of gestational diabetes.
December 5th 2002 - so far everythings good, heartbeat sounds "girlish"... got Lab sheets for glucose tests, gotta get in and get em done!
went for glucose testing just before Christmas.. had to drink some nasty orange stuff.. yucky..
January 8th 2003 - AHH its getting so close!!!! results from glucose tests are good, everythings moving along nicely (only 10 more weeks to go!!!)
January 22nd 2003 - everything is good and from this point on we move to every 2 weeks for appts. doc says the heartbeat sounds "boyish" this week. I says nu-uh. lol.
February 3rd 2003 - well we got 6 more weeks to go, think we'll make it that far?? heartbeat's back to soundin "girlish", doc figures shes about 4 1/2 pounds.. but that shes long and narrow (thank you god lol)
February 20th 2003 - 4 more and lookin good.. shes at about 5 pounds and everythings fine.. appts. move to every week from here on in.. Ahh!! so soon!!!
February 27th 2003 - 3 weeks left. wow. feelin like it kinda snuck up on me! doc thinks shes about 5 1/2 pounds but says its hard to tell because im retaining water. (oh joy. lol.)
March 6th 2003 - everything is still good!! Doc says she'll be here anyday now, im at +2 station meaning she dropped! yay! breathing is finally easier!
March 17th 2003 - everythings still comin along, if she isnt born by the monday after her due date (4 days! yay!) then we schedule an induction!
March 24th 2003 - well she still isnt here yet, we got a induction sceduled for the 26th at 7:30am! i'll keep ya posted!
March 26th 2003 - ended up getting changed to 5 pm so I had to wait all day! ahh! started contractions at 10 pm at 5 mins apart and getting closer.
March 27th 2003 - 12 30 pm got a morphine shot, contractions move to 3 mins apart and lasting about 40 seconds. 5 am little progress. 8 am they break my water contractions pick up to 30 seconds apart and a minute long. 11:30am epidural man showed up! yay!!!! 2:30pm, fully dialated start to push. 13 minutes and 8 pushes later Alista arrives in the world! horray!!!
