Introduction / What is this?

This is simple. I run a Google alert looking for fresh occurrences of the number 666 on the Internet and then IFTTT feeds the results to my new microblog, where (no doubt) some interesting person finds them and reveals unto the world the secret that some baseball team is in laegue with the Devil. Or something like that. And no, I find no evidence that the 2005 White Sox were so involved, so get over it, Houston.

This is set up purely for your amusement. If you know of anybody who thinks that he's found signs of a real Satanic conspiracy in any of this, please tell him to consult the nearest bowl of alphabet soup for further information, but not before protecting himself with an adequately thick lining of aluminum foil on his head to protect himself from the Satanic thought waves being beamed out by the CIA. Then back away, very very slowly without making any sudden moves.

There are only 1000 ways of choosing three digits and a few hundred million webpages in the world (or would that be billions) - do you suppose that just pure chance could explain anything? I guess we'll just have to ask Jesus, the next time he appears in a piece of toast.

Shall we continue? Back when EIE was still on Tumblr, you'd find links to the introduction to this ... blog? (ie. the page you're currently on at its previous location) and to a ring return page (which also linked to this page) in the sidebar for the journal, just in case anybody wasn't sure of how to get back to the ring, even though the code for the ring should have been visible at the bottom of every page. Probably the people shaking the Nutella off of their bread going "Jesus, Jesus ...?" I imagine, but you never know. As I am now using Storify, I can't provide that same level of overdone convenience, so you'll have to settle for the link at the top of the page to return.

As for giving you links to some of the pages found during the brief time EIE spent on Tumblr, I wish I could help you with that, but Tumblr deleted the old blog without warning (and I'd add, without cause), and I lost those urls. Maybe the old place will show up in the Internet Archive some day, but I wouldn't count on that happening. 47 people chose to follow that little blog in its few months of life, and I have to assume that they found some amusement and value in it, but I suppose that inconveniencing them mattered as little to Tumblr as did the inconvenience worked on their user by what seems to have been a completely arbitrary decision, one that leaves their claim to not engage in censorship ringing at least a little hollow.

Let's hope that Delicious does a better job.

When you wish to return to your ring, just click on the homepage link on the Twitter and you'll go right back. This page is part of the Cafe Satan site. If you entered this site through another page, then you should go to the local ring return page for this site, which can be found here. If you'd like to go visit my page on Delicious, it's still there waiting to be visited. I hope.
