| Mrs. Maria Elizabetha (Trier) OTT, died April 13th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis SAND in Phoenix. She was born Oct 20, 1816 in Boechweiler, Germany and came to this country with her parents in 1833. They settled in Warren, Pa. Where she was married on 15 August, 1835. In 1837, she came to Illinois with her husband, settling near Chicago which was their home for 17 years. In 1854, they came to Lorain where they lived until 1871, when they moved to Geneseo. Mr. OTT, died in 1876. She is survived by 5 children - Casper, H.R., and Adolph., Mrs. Louis SAND and Mrs. Jacob ROSS. 4 childen are deceased. She was a member of the Evangelical Church. The funeral was Thursday at the German Church in Lorain, with burial in the Lorain Cemetery beside her husband. Miss Anna SAND of Menlo, Iowa is her grand-daughter. (Friday, April 24, 1891) |
