Antoinette "Tony" Garry
Services for Antoinette "Tony' M. Garry, 75, of 1360 Lincoln Road, Bettendorf, are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Burial is in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. today at Halligan- McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the church or American Cancer Society. Mrs. Garry died Wednesday, Aug 14, 1991, at home. The former Antoinette Seefeldt was born Jan 1, 1916, in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of Carl T. and Amelia Balzer Seefeldt. She married Howard Hawkins. He died in 1968. She married Sidney Garry. He died in 1981. She had studied music at the former St. Ambrose College, Davenport, and took art lessons from Father Edward M. Catich at St. Ambrose. She retired in 1973 from the trust department at Davenport Bank & Trust Co. Before that, she worked at Quail Investment Co. She was a member of the Outing Club, Davenport; and St. Luke's Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge at the Outing Club and Church; and had been a world traveler, taking many trips to both Europe and South America. Survivors include sisters, Mary Allard and Rosalie Allard, both of Davenport, and Isabell Beckman, Beaverton, Ore.; a brother, Joseph Seefeldt, Davenport; and 15 nieces and nephews.

GARRY
GANNON
James GANNON, died April 23rd at his home on Vandruff's Island, Rock Island County. He was born near Athai, County Kildare, Ireland on April 3, 1812 and came to this country in the 1840's. He married Miss Mary TRAINOR in Roudout?, New York in 1845; she died in May 1887. They had 9 children, 7 of whom survive: Thomas GANNON and Mrs. Charley CHRISTY of Milan; John GANNON of Toluca; Ella GANNON, James GANNON and Morris GANNON at home; and Mrs. P.DOWLING of Chicago. The funeral was Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Island, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. His sons and 2 grandsons were his pallbearers.
GRIFFIN
The Rev. John A. GRIFFIN, died Saturday at Sherrard, Mercer County where he had been pastor of the Congregational Church for several years. Milan IND, Nov 13, 1902
GELOUDE
Camille GELOUDE, of Moline died Friday at Colona, Henry County from injuries incurred while working there on the Hennepin Canal. He was aged 28 years and single. (Milan IND Jan 8,1903)

Julius GOETZ, of 510 10th Street, a laborer employed in the Blacksmith departm't of the Rock Island Plow Company, died Friday while at work. ( Milan IND Oct 23, 1902)
GARRITY
Peter GARRITY, a farmer who resided 3 miles southeast of Milan, was killed in a runaway accident in Rock Island on Friday; he was aged 40 years. He was born and reaed in the lower end of the county but had resided southeast of Milan for several years. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Fannie KILLING and by 6 small children, the eldest aged 9 years. He is also survived by a brother James HAYES of Drury and by 4 sisters: Mrs. Mary BYRON of Sweetland, Iowa; Mrs. Sarah REYNOLDS of Grinnell, Iowa; Mrs. Carl WITT of Drury; and Mrs. James G. BRITTON of Andalusia. The funeral was Sunday with the burial in the Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island. He was only a few months old when his own father died, leaving his mother with 5 small children. His brother Thomas was killed a Leadville (Colorado?) in a mining accident a few years ago. John, another brother, died about 1 year ago in old Mexico. (Milan IND Jan 29, 1903)

GARMAN
Mrs. Daisy GARMAN, died Tuesday in Chicago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Smith of Milan. She was born in Neponsett, Illinois 26 years ago and is survived by her husband, 2 children - Cecil aged 5 years; Ethel aged 2 years; by her parents, 2 brother: Edward SMITH of Iowa and Sheldon SMITH ; and by 1 sister - Adeline at home. Burial was at Princeton. Among those attending the funeral were Mrs. Julia SMITH, Mr. and Mrs. Edward SMITH and W. McIntire. (Milna IND, May 14, 1903)

The funeral of Mrs. Mary GAVIN, nee RANBARGER, was last Sunday. Mrs. John A. GAVIN of Rock Island, died Thursday at the Moline city  hospital. She was born July 21, 1863 at Vincennes, Indiana and is survived by her husband, 6 brothers and 4 sisters - John RANBARGER of Fort Madison, Iowa; George, Clarence, Frank, and William RANBARGER of Rock Island; Emery RANBARGER of Company E. at Monterry, California; Mrs. A.T. Ella May GOBEN, died Saturday aged 18 years, 2 months 18 days. She was born at Carbon Cliff, Illinois and was a member of the Milan M.E. Church. She is survived by her parents, 3 sisters and 5 brotheers. The funeral was Monday at the Milan M.E. Church with burial in the Chippiannock Cemetery.(Milan IND, October 1, 1903)

GREEN
Mrs. Eliza GREEN, died Monday at her honme in Milan. She was one of the oldest settlers here. She was born June 11, 1825 in Huntingtonshire, England and in October, 1854 she married Albert GREEN. They later came to America and sprnt a short time in New York. They came to Milan in early 1855. She kept a boadinghouse for a number of years. She was a member of the Milan M.E. Church. She is survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Charlotte WRIGHT of Chicago and by her husband. The funeral was Wednesday with burial in the Chippiannock cemetery, Rock Island. ( Milan IND, March 24, 1904)
GOETHAL
John GOETHAL, a belgian residing in Moline, drowned Sunday in the Rock River at the head of Carr's Island. He was unmarried and came to this country about 1 week ago. The body was recovered Tuesday. (Milan IND, August 11, 1904)
GREGG
John W. GREGG, was born Sept 1, 1841 in Rock Island and died Sept 16th in Pasadena, Californa and was buried last Sunday. He was the eldest son of the late Dr. Patrick GREGG and served with his father in the Civil War. He had lived at Bismark, North Dakota for the last 4 years. He is survived by his wife, a brother: Spencer GREGG of Marsa, Texas; by Mrs. Wm. NUTTING of New York City and Miss Carrie W. GREGG of Rock Island. Mary A., wife of the late Jacob F. GITT of Bowling, died last Sarurday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dudley DeVOE of South Rock Isalnd. She is survived by 5 children - Mrs. Jennie DeVOE of South Rock Island: John and Jacob GITT all of South Rock Island; William O. GITT of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Mrs. C.B. ELLIS of Bowling. She was also the mother of the late Charles H. BRANDENBURG who died 10 months ago. The funeral was at McConnell's Chapel with burial there beside her husband. 6 grandsons of the dec'd were pallbearers. (Milan IND, October 6, 1904)

Judge John J. GLENN of Monmouth, Warren County was buried Monday aged 74 years. He died last Thursday; he was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. (Milan IND, January 12, 1905)
GRIFFIN
James GRIFFIN, Milan died Sunday at hie home. He was born on Big Island and would have been 55 years old on April 17th. He lived on Big Island for a long time and then moved to Milan some years ago. He was a bachelor and was a hunter, trapper and vegetable truck farmer by trade. He is survived by his twin sister, Mrs. Mary WHORTON and by his briother George GRIFFIN of Milan and brother Joshua GRIFFIN of Andalusia. The funeral was Tuesday with burial in the Dickson burial grounds. (Milan IND, March 9, 1905)

Mr. GREY, was buried Sunday in the Reynolds cemetery. The funeral was at the M.E. Church. He is survived by a son George of Hamlet and by a sister, Mrs. Clay MOORE of Reynolds. (Milan IND, March 9, 1905)

GRAHAM
Joseph GRAHAM, died Friday at his home in Rock Island, 700 4th Street aged over 80 years. He was born in Ireland in 1836 and came to this country about 50 years ago. He was a farmer for many years. His wife, Mrs. Anna GRAHAM, died March 23, 1904. Their surviving children are 2 sons: James GRAHAM of Rock Island and John GRAHAM of Viola, Marcer County. There are also 2 survivng sisters- Mrs. Mararet ARMSTRONG and Mrs. Eliza SANDUSKY, both of Rock Island. The funeral was Sunday with burial in the Wood cemetery, east of the Orangman's picnic grounds near Pre-emption.(Milan IND, November 2, 1905)
