| Died at the Rock Island House of Cholera, Sunday the 12th, Isaiah Drury, aged 76 years. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, December 1778 and in 1800 settled in Ohio. He located at New Lancaster and built the first house ever to be crected in that town. In 1811 he removed to Indiana and was actively engaged in the War of 1812, In 1836 he came to Illinoisand settled in what is now called Drury precinct in this county where he has resided ever since. He and one of his sons had a mill there. He had another son near who is a farmer and 2 at the landing who are merchants. The body was taken to Drury for burial. ( Wednesday Nov 15, 1854 ) |

| Mrs. Elizabeth DUNLAP, a longtime resident of this county, died January 7th at her home in south Rock Island. She was born Elizabeth CARR and married Adolphus DUNLAP in 1840. He died 16 years ago. They had 11 children, 8 of whom survive. She also has 36 grandchildren. She had resided in the county for 79 years. |

| Mrs. Mary DUNGAN, died Thursday at her home in Duruy township. She was born Sept 17, 1828 in Ohio and was the relict pf the late James DUNGAN. She is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter - Isaac and John DUNGAN of Drury tnp. Daniel DUNGAN of Muscatine, Iowa; and Mrs. W.S. HOBERT of Kansas. The funeral was Sunday in Illinos City. | The funeral of Miss Mable DAXON was Saturday at Andalusia. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. DAXON. She died Thursday. The funeral was at the Baptist church with burial in the Andalusia cemetery. Mable Edna, daughter of Wm. and Mary L. DAXON died October 5th at the home of her parents, east of Andalusia aged 14 years 8 months 13 days. She was born in Rural tnp where she spent the first 2 years of her life. The funeral was October 7th at the Baptist church in Andalusia. She was a member of the Baptist Sunday school. She is survived by her parents, 3 sisters - Louise, Ann and Lila; and by a brother Dan who is in Hillyard, Washington. ( Thursday, October 12, 1905 ) |
