| Small private cemetery situated on the farms of two brothers: John Gerhard Frels and Henry Frels who came to America about 1834. You can see it from Interstate 80 on north side of highway between Route 2 and Route 84 axcess roads. Only three stones. |
| John Gerhard Frels was born on December 26, 1813 in or near Elsfleth, near Bremen, Germany. He and his borther Henry Frels came to Amercia about 1834 and settled on adjoining farms in Hampton twp, Rock Island county, Illinois. John Gerhard married Mary Louise Dorthea Franke and their oldest son William Henry Frels was born on August 20, 1841. |

| Mary Louise Dortha Franke Frels was the daughter of Dedrick Franke and Louise M. Franke. She was born on December 22, 1822, at Linsburg amt Wolpe, Hanover, Geramny. She arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 6, 1838. Dedrick Franke's name appears on his wife's tombstone; there is no more information on him. It seems, however, that Louise M. Frankewas a widow and that she made her home with her daughter for several years prier to her own death. |
| Rosine Frels was a niece of John G. Frels. She lived on the adjoining farm, owned by John's brother. She died in childhood. |
