RULES
please keep in mind the following rules only apply to RHA registered racers and RHA sanctioned races.
- 1. Must be one of the following breeds:
- Appaloosa
- Arabian
- Paint
- Quarter Horse or Appendix Quarter Horse
- Thoroughbred
- 2. Must be trained and compete ONLY in racing events. Once a horse is RHA registered as an Active Racer, it may NOT compete in any event other than Races until officially retired from racing and undergoing a 1 month retraining period. *EXCEPTION* Racers MAY compete in special race horse in hand classes! All RHA approved racedays WILL have in hand classes!
- 3. A Horse may be registered at any age provided it has been born. Foals may not be registered until they have been officially born and registered with the Horse Registry.
Horses officially registered with the RHA as an Active Racer may not compete in any events besides Racing.
- 4. Race horses may compete in halter events as yearlings and weanlings.
- 5. Horses may NOT have a foal or have foaled while an active racer. This rule applies to fillies, colts, mares AND stallions.
- Race Grading System
- Ungraded (UG) - Ungraded races are open to any horses which have not won a race. A horse is ranked as Ungraded until they win their first UG Race. Only one win is required to move to a higher level. Any player may hold a UG Race. UG races can be any type of race with a purse of at least $1,000.
- Grade IV Races (****) - Grade IV Races are open to any horse which has won a race. In order to move to GIII races, a horse must place first or second in at least 3 GIV races. GIV Races are required to have a purse of at least $4,000 per race and must be held at a RHA Approved track or be RHA Sanctioned.
- Grade III Races (***) - Grade III Races are open only to horses who have placed first or second in at least 3 GIV Races. In order to move to GII races, a horse must place first or second in at least 5 GIII races. GIII races are required to have a purse of at least $10,000 per race and must be held at a RHA approved track or be RHA sanctioned.
- Grade II Races (**) - Grade II races are open to horses who have placed first or second in at least 5 GIII Races. GII Races are required to have a purse of at least $15,000 per race and must be held at a RHA approved track or be RHA sanctioned.
- Grade I Races (*) - Grade I races are the highest and most prestigious races. GI Races must have purses of at least $25,000 and must be held at a RHA approved track or be RHA sanctioned.

Finally, save the following picture and design your own silks! Just like the Jockey Club in real life, we have registered silks. You can view taken colors/patterns on the Registered Horses page. REMEMBER - no 2 silks can be the same. Example: Stable A has red & black diamonds. You may not have red & black diamonds. You can have red & black checks, or any other design. I have the right to refuse ANY design or alter it to meet standards. PLEASE save the file as .PNG and attach it in your email.
