Horsey Problems
                               CANTERING
Cantering is when a horse rusns at a steady pace. To get the correct led when you canter, look at the shoulder closest to the center of the ring. It should be moving farther forward than the other shoulder. To get your horse to canter,  squeeze with the inside (leg closest to the fence) leg. Count rhythms when you canter. 1,2,3  1,2,3.
              TRAIL RIDDING
Trail ridding is when you ride your horse on a trail, usally through the woods. It can be fun and hard. Here are some tips:
*Don't let your horse eat plants. If he does, it will slow down the trail, and mess up your bit. If he attemps to eat plants, give a sharp tug on the reins, and kick him to keep him moving foward. It is ok, if your horse gets a drink out of a river when you are walking through.
*When going up steep hills, lean foward. Listen to your instructer; she may tell you otherwise.
*Wear bug spray. The bugs are terrible.
*If it is cold, dress warmly.
*Wear a helmet and riding boots.
*If your horse tries to speed up, sit down in your saddle and pull back.
*If you'r scared of going over a river, relax!
*Keep your horse on the trail, and shout to your instuctor if you have any problems.
*Have fun and be a good sport. Follow all trail rules, they're there for a reason!
