| If your father was Time what would you ask? To see the future or relive the past? At a time when the moon wept and the land blazed Daughter Time asked her father, "May I live in the past?" "When fields were greener and flowers bloomed... I wish to live long before this doom." Father time gazed hard at his daughter warning that past is dead long past slaughter. "...but as you wish I breathe this chant: Time intertwine... ...where the youngest sees the eldest before they were conceived a time where the flower can revisit its seed." Now standing in a field Daughter Time breathes among green trees, an abundant garden, and twin flowing streams... The field is full of delicious fruit... among the most tempting the pomegranates at the center of the loop. Daughter Time's presence captivates the past. She bent down to touch the green plush grass... who withered, decomposing, away from her grasp. Along the stream she then bent downward to see her reflection only to find the water now bending in the other direction. The wind blew timidly around her and the corpse that once was the sun shone dark when she passed its way. "What a strange land I am in!", she said in dismay. "Present in the past demands hesitation and decay." "Father!", she cried out, "I've made a mistake! I do not wish to live in the past but in the future...That is the path I wish to take." Father Time appeared and spoke to his daughter warning that the future is time yet to be set undeveloped and full of potential not yet met. "...but as you wish I breathe this chant: Time intertwine... Trees of now meet the towers former beauty be replaced by forthcoming powers." Now standing on a cold modern street all glossy steel and platinum wholly ultra sleek. Sky scrapers pierce the sky with mirrored walls reflecting all that passes by. Images once racing across the modern reflectors suddenly stop as if to correct her. First a roar then calm solemn compliance. Daugher Time's presence seems to demand complete silence. Daughter Time begins to greet: "Passer by One where are you headed?". "Perhaps somewhere tomorrow. I don't know.", said the one, "but I dread it." Cars wait at green lights. The Sun and the Moon don't bother to switch between nights. "What a disgrace! How can my future be at such a muted pace. Tomorrow is better is what they whisper on the street. Present in future obviously demands procrastination and a multitude of dead beats. Father! Father! I've made a mistake! The past, the future, neither is a path I wish to take!" Father Time came into sight. "Daughter, have you learned which path is right?" Daughter time answered, "To live in the past causes hesitation, to live in the future procrastination, so I choose, now father, to live in the present. That is my revelation!" -----Consider the Past, Plan for the Future, but Live in the Present----- |
