I'm an 18 year old high school graduate. I'm planning on attending a grooming school this fall. Right now I am working at a local grooming shop as an assistant. I own Odin the Golden Retriever, but I do all the training, grooming, and handling of all the dogs, as well as the general care of them all. My favorite competition was Juniors. I aged out in June 2003. I had only been showing since June 2001 and aged out from the Open Senior class with several wins and placements and even a couple Best Juniors. I would like to get a show dog this summer, a Samoyed to hopefully finish, as well as getting Companion Dog and Novice Agility titles on Ellie and Odin. But I really like the breed/Junior ring the best. I've really enjoyed the experience and friends I've gained through Juniors, and I would like to continue showing in conformation and maybe someday have my own kennel. I have been showing for 3 years now but I really started training about 4 years ago. I started training Lucky, my Brittany mix, for agility and obedience. I've only put a CGC on one dog, Odin. Hopefully we'll add CDs and NAs soon. I almost have some 4-H titles on Odin, He needs 2 more wins in showmanship to be JSC (Junior Showmanship Champion), one more leg for PN (Pre-Novice), and 2 more legs for BA (Beginner Agility) Hopefully we'll get those in 2004! In my 4-h club, I'm a Junior leader helping out with the dog program. When I'm not in the show ring(which is less than I'd like..) and when I'm not outside with the dogs, I'm usually with friends, or online, talking to friends from school and friends from around the world. I also enjoy music a lot, and drawing once in a while.
