Japanese Silver Phoenix |

The Phoenix is an ancient breed that originated in Japan. They were raised there in the imperial gardens where they would be kept on high perches to protect the beautiful 15 to 20 foot tail feathers. The tails of todays Phoenix do not reach such an amazing length, but they are still very outstanding birds.The roosters do not molt thier sickle feathers every year. This allows them to reach their awesome length. |
