Love Hina: That's so wonderful!

Keitaro, the male lead of the series, is not in many people's good books. He has failed the practice Toudai University entrance exam for the third time in a row and still hasn't got a job. His parents decide to send him to manage Hinata Inn, which belongs to his Grandmother. It's an all-girl dormitory with hot spas, and at first they are rather adamant against his becoming the manager. Though he tried to be truthful, he ends up pretending to be a Toudai student so that they will accept him.

So why does Keitaro want to get into Toudai university, one of the most prestigious in Japan, even though he fails again and again?

Keitaro made a promise to attend Toudai University with a childhood friend many years ago before she moved away. He promised to find her and to be sweethearts at TU, marrying when their degree ended. However, he has forgotten the name of the girl of his past, and even what she looks like.

Is it Naru, the pretty girl from his cram school who is also staying at Hinata inn? Is it Mutsumi, the accident-prone beauty who would have got into Toudai years ago if she could only control her fainting attacks?

Okay, that sounds relatively normal, right? Well, add flying mechanised turtles, ancient ruins, vengeful ghosts, bedrooms containing rainforests and a martial-arts practising archaeologist. And then add more turtles. That's the story.

The music has been written to fit the series perfectly. Most of it is very bouncy and attention-capturing, and a little bizarre. The opening theme is particularly good, if you weren't feeling interested before, once the theme starts to play you'll definately pay attention. I almost wish I could erase its memory form my mind so I could go back and listen to it for the first time all over again and get that same "Huh?! Woah... brain overload..." feeling again from the energy of the music ^_^

My favourite character is Mutsumi, who is shockingly underrepresented on the web! She isn't one of the many girls living at the Inn, so she's not in every episode. However, she still plays such a big role in the series, I wish there was more fanart of her around. She reminds me of me, and I love her dopey grin ^_^ Keitaro and Haruka She seems to have the most gentle features of any of the characters on the show, and the kindest nature (generally).

People sometimes confuse Naru and Mutsumi. Mutsumi is quiet, with darker hair, wears long dresses and overalls and is quite busty. Naru is violent and foolish ;P

Something that bothers me.. what is it with all the step-sisters/brothers in this show? Keitaro has a step sister who wants to marry him, Kazolla has a step-brother who wants to marry her, Sara is the adopted child of the professor who torments Keitaro by destroying everything she can pick up... Naru has a step sister who wants to ruin any chance Keitaro has of ever going out with her sister... it's like all siblings are there to be antagonists only. Heh. Hang on, that's what siblings are for, I forgot ^^;;;;
