Interview with The Sasquatch Militia

By Melissa Anderson The Beacon: I was able to score a

wonderful interview with a

terrific group of academically

enlightened students here at

Harding. This group is called

the Sasquatch Militia. They are

a group a people that would

like to help protect all the rights

of any and all Sasquatch

(Bigfoot) out there.

The Beacon: What made you

guys come up with the idea of

starting a militia?

Sasquatch Militia: It all started

with a Chemistry project to find

a controversial issue and we

picked Sasquatch. Then this

turned into a practical joke and

went on from there.

The Beacon: What are your

goals and objectives?

Sasquatch Militia: Equality for

all hominoids regardless of

species and world peace to

protect the Sasquatch

The Beacon: How do you plan

to go about those goals?

Sasquatch Militia: By

peacefully proselytizing all

intolerant people of the world

to join our militia and fight for

equal rights for all hominoids.

The Beacon: How many

members does the militia have

to date?

Sasquatch Militia: 120 members

that have joined online and

within the school.

The Beacon: If a person wants to

join your group, how would they

go about doing that?

Sasquatch Militia: They can

either talk to one of us. They can

also go to our website and join

there. Now it is mandatory that all

members must purchase a

Sasquatch militia T-shirt.

The Beacon: Is there a reason

that you decided to call it a

militia? Are you violent?

Sasquatch Militia: It is a peaceful

group of friars. It is not an actual

militia, we are a nonviolent group.

The Beacon: Do you think that

this will turn into an approved

extracurricular activity?

Sasquatch Militia: That is one of

our goals. It is a conservationist

group, which is good for all ages.

The Beacon: Who was the main

person that came up with this

idea?

Sasquatch Militia: Robert

Aleckson A.K.A Lil’ Rob

The Beacon: What would you

like people to know about your

group?

Sasquatch Militia: We are not an

actual militia. Learn how to spell

Sasquatch. Everyone should also

learn how to pronounce Militia

(mil-li-sha).

The Beacon: Okay to get on the

subject of your college, SMU,

what subjects are taught there?

Sasquatch Militia: Right now,

there is only Trampoline training

and 13th century medical warfare.

We hope to expand our courses

to include things like water

training.

On a special note: the militia

has been expanding, they have a

boot camp to train new recruits.

These recruits can now join their

newly formed ground units,

navy, and even air force.
