This is clamp used to hold two Marui and compatible MP5-type magazines together to enable quick reloading in tactical situations. Academy has done a good job of bringing the real thing into the airsoft world.

Appearance

  The clamp is a nearly-exact copy of H&K's own double mag clamp. The finish is superb and it matches Marui AEG mags well.

Function

  The clamp holds two magazines together side-by-side to allow for fast reloading. There is a lever on the front of the clamp to open and close the mechanism; when it's open you just place two magazines in it so that they are both facing the same way and they are level with one another. Then you simply turn the locking lever down. The result? A secure, sturdy way to "double" your ready firepower.

Overall Impressions

  This is an essential training item for anyone who uses a real magazine clamp on a real H&K. It's also necessary to expand firepower for those of us who insist on using standard-capacity magazines for training purposes. Not only that, but it looks cool, too.
