MINIs:
I'm sure many of you are questioning the reliability of the airsoft minis. So let me give you the scoop folks.
Disadvantages:
a) Lack of power.
b) Short range.
c) Gravity fed.
d) BBs can rattle around in the feed hopper when it's not full.
e) Slightly on the fragile side.
f) Average accuracy.
Advantages:
a) Inexpensive.
b) Operates on regular AA batteries.
c) Small and light weight.
d) Concealable (personal favorite)
e) Easy to use. (even Forrest Gump could comprehend it)
Overall:
You want something with more power then buy something with more power. That goes for range too. One fact is me and INFRARED have yet to use steel BBs. You can only get so much out of plastic BBs. I'm not saying you will have knock down power, but range and power is affected by weight and whether the material is plastic or steel. For around forty dollars you can't beat it. I personally love my mini. Although they don't support 6mm paint balls well (there will be a separate review on that altogether), that's the only time I had complications with my mini. Don't let the tests that me and INFRARED have done fool you. Within 10 yards even those plastic BBs sting. And always wear safety goggles. I caught a two round ricochet in my eye once. They deflected off a wall about 4 meters away. The pain was enough to knock me on my @$$. Always practice safety. Even with the mini's. To end this; No the minis are nowhere close to being the best on the market, but they are worth what you pay and are a lot of fun just to goof off with. I plan to keep mine for a while, and if it breaks someday I will get another.
Keep it alive my friends...
