BlackHawk Industries is a premier supplier of tactical nylon goods for law enforcement and military use. Some of their products had been endorsed by Carlos Hathcock. Please read the following, written by the President of BlackHawk Industries:

Dear friends of BlackHawk, I send this message to you as the bearer of sad news. Beloved hero, patriot, and friend Carlos Hathcock passed away early on Tuesday morning Feb. 23 rd. He had been in poor health for sometime, brought on by the cumulative effects of wounds he sustained in the service of our country. For those unfamiliar with this brave soldier, the subject of the book "Marine Sniper", Carlos Hathcock had over 90 confirmed kills as a sniper during the Vietnam war. Those of us with military service have some comprehension of the courage he must of had, operating alone miles behind enemy lines with nothing more than a ghillie suit and a bolt action rifle. In a day when heroes are needed, Carlos Hathcock stood for all that was good about American soldiers and his beloved Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife Joe. It can never be known how many veterans today sit home with their grandkids specifically because of the heroism of this one individual. As you know, we have been the manufacturer and distributor of The Carlos Hathcock line of sniper accessories. This has been a source of royalty revenue for Carlos and his family for the past few years. Be assured, we will continue production of this line, with the royalty stream going directly to Carlos Hathcock's wife. The family is in the process of establishing a memorial fund, with proceeds being used to aid research into Multiple Sclerosis. All of us at BlackHawk share your sadness over the loss of this truly brave American Hero.
Sincerely, Mike Noell
