| In another entirely unrelated neighborhood, there was a noisy young boy who kept his teddy bear at his side in bed every night. Nothing could hurt him as long as his faithful stuffed toy was around, and he wasn't quite as scared of the dark then. One day while the boy was away causing trouble at school, the monster from under the bed, quite put out by being ignored, especially by such a bratty little kid, decided to get revenge once and for all. It slithered up onto the bed and spotted the wicked little bear resting peacefully on the boy's pillow, and then it knew what its plan should be. The monster creeped over to the toy and tore open a small seam on the bear's back, just big enough to squeeze through. Once inside, the bed monster waited hours for the little boy to finally come home and crawl into bed. The boy snuggled under the covers and wrapped an arm around his beloved bear, and was just beginning to doze off when to his surprise, the bear sprung to life! It reached up and tore off its head, pulling out pawfuls of the fluffy white stuffing and filling the boy's nose and mouth with it. The little boy struggled and flailed, but all was in vain. The bear waited until all went still again, then flopped over onto the pillow, falling asleep happy to finally have peace and quiet. |
