| Once upon a time, there was a little girl who absolutely loved her little red mittens. They were her favorite things to wear in the winter, she even refused to wear gloves rather than them! And one day, she woke up to find it'd snowed outside, so she leapt out of bed and rushed to get all of her gear on, putting on lastly and most carefully, her prized red mittens. The little girl spent hours and hours playing outside, until she was finally so tired she had to come back inside. But what did she find when she stepped indoors? It was a christmas tree, all lit up and decorated! The girl rushed over and plucked a candy cane from the branches in her snowy mittens before making her way to the kitchen. She pulled off her mittens as she went to grasp the candy cane in her bare hand, but found the melting snow had made it all sticky! So, she walked to the sink and leaned over to wash off her hands, but Oops! The candy cane dropped and slipped down the drain! Oh no! So the little girl reached down into the drain after it, stretching and straining to get the poor candy cane, when in her struggles, she bumped a switch. *Whirr!* On went the garbage disposal, taking her fingers clean off! And from that day on, the little girl had to wear her mittens because gloves just wouldn't fit the way they used to. |
