3rd june: for heaven's sake , could the heads do us a little favour and put a stretch in our vacation. hey 8 days ain't enough to get our asses kickin after 2 weeks of brain storm........now is it?
31st june: world cup finals: the entire tournment was indeed a big tragedy. with the top teams getting their asses kicked in the very beginnning , the finals wasn"t really like " d " finals every football fan had in mind.even then thumbs up for the brazilian team and their die hard fans.
12th july: the bhanu bhakta celebration ........... ya ya i know what u'r thinkin ....sorry but no after burn treats.....anyways the celebrations was another tragedy. with the nepali elocutionist practising for the s.p fest going haywire and the singers taking their own version of "bohemian rapsody" to a new level. the celebration was crap.
27th july: the s.p + 2 fest::: the greatest event this month , well the greatest event of the year for the + 2 guys. the team consisted of 23 guys and most were optimistic about their perfomance there . well we did bag the 1st and the 2nd position in chess and a big controversial 2nd in the dumb charades which most still can't figure out how we lost. the greatest event that shook not only us but the entire people in the auditorium not to mention the champions and the 1st runner up....s.p and n.p themselves.:; the add spoofs decisions did leave a big question mark followed by how come not sas ........and why s.p. well i guess most get the picture , but from where i see it ...i see 2 s.p judges and a judge from from n.p....not to forget the calculations in the " secret ballots " with the the very own s.p students taking the decisions. well this really hit us at first but then later it just rolled over cuz we were'nt the only so called "victims" afterall the western music competition showed it all ... any judging competition ..we don't stand a chance against s.p. ............. summing the s.p fest was another " khubsoorat dhoka" anyways it was nice meeting some of the sasonians there....sumedh, ugen, eros, ujjwal and prajwal. and thumbs up to sumedh for his great performance in the comic dance and his jhonny bravos.
31st july: zonal elocution ....well wasn;t able to keep the rythym going after our legendary win last year. we had to satisfy with the 2nd position after d.g.h.
9th august: when luck shines on ur butts once doesn't mean it's going to shine again and again.. the foot ball squad got what they deserved . after a tragic end last year , the football team defeated the defending champions m.h.s after a 1-1 draw in penalties to lift the jack coffee trophy ( phagura).. the sole goal provided by sashi kiran kindo.
15th august: the country celebrated ..wellll so did sas... the usual was ... no changes . the school band never seemed like they were going to stop ....best band 2002 ,...once again sas. and a surprise package this year...ist runner up boys in march past .-sas..
26th,27th,28th...: the school concert : personally ..it was no good ..the same ol songs , the same ol dance ,and the same boring plays, and the same ol problem with the sound system. some of the songs were good , the plays , well most never did get it. but the greatest event was the ex- sasonians performing ..sonam sherpa , now don't ask who that is....parikrama's lead guitarist..and an ex sasonian....they took on the entire show..with songs like ..road house blues, better man etc... other than that the school day was the same like it always is ..with kanchenjunga lifting up the swimming shield this year.
5th sep: teachers day.... well we did put up a good show ...that's what the teachers commented... they enjoyed it , well that's what we wanted. we had the fest's add spoofs put up with some new advertisements and a comical dance by cl 12... the man who stole the show was karma ( 12 com)... the smoldering star just burst thru with his name echoing in every teacher's breath.
7th sep : burns shield: didn't get it this time ..better luck next time guys..the swimming team returned with the third place..after dgh and mhs.
11th oct: the same ol sports day..the march past,, the speeches .....the scorching sun...and the same old problem with the hoisting of the flag..... matterhorn took the march past ......and everest the athletics....followed by the pathetic 10 days puja vacation....
21st oct: back to school after the pathetic vacation.....no changes in school ....just the same....
26th oct: the radha mohan inter school drama trophy ..this time was a little worse then the previous one...well that was the worst actually..cuz this time the competition had only 2 participating teams ....one was sas and the other was students from some teachers training college....the show was a total disaster and if that wasn;t enough both the plays really sucked ..trust me cuz i acted in one too....in the end the teachers too the the 1st place followed by the boys lifting a bigger trophy ( a 3 foot shield ) taking the obvious 2nd place.
26th oct: just after the drama competition...the hard rock fest took to the stage....the show was put up by the band kakopony(sas), and also saw some amateur bands from sas(roots)and sumi(friday)...all of them happened to be ex sasonians......the show was really good ....but the disappointment was it really didn't sound like the hard rock kinda stuff...kakofony did their part by playing some real metal from iron maiden, korn, nirvana, metalica and sepultura but the other bands were more into the soft happy stuffs..although we did hear good numbers from greenday and ugly kid joe...but the fact remains " kakofony" did steal the show. more infos in music box.
28th oct: athletics at dgh..(boys and girls): we weren't tht bad....managed to get a couple of certificates...not like the legendary 1999 athletics at goethels....where we bagged up 3 points( 3 third place certificates)..this time it was quite a handful....anyways we really sure wahat our position was this time..cuz the announcement was carried out in the most ambiguous manner...according to us we were....ummm. 5th maybe..well 5th sounds much better than 2nd last now does'nt it...
14th oct: childrens day?? woah give us a break..sas doesn't celebrate that day...why??? hey how am i supposed to know i wasn't the one to make it a school day on the 14th......well anyways we never had the celebration either ..instead we had to bid farewell to mr. kn panday....after his.... some 40 years stay in sas...aafter that was the farewell celebration for the cl 10 and the 12 students.....one things really buggin me ..why does our batch always get the the most unique farewells...first it was in the main field and this time in the assembly ground....anyways it was fun ..the entire day ..the last day actually in dear ol sas.....
30th oct : school closes for the winter vacation.
this might be the last time u'll be seeing this folder ....just in case some one presently in sas would like to give us a little information about the stuffs happening in sas..we would be glad to open this section once again...
