| September 23, 2008 - Fort Macfie (AP) The Scotty Bowman era in Fort Mac is over as a new coaching staff takes over for a new look Banger squad. Murray Chadwick who's best known for leading the Hamilton Mustangs to the 1986 Memorial Cup in the movie "Youngblood" takes over the head coaching duties. He brings with him a winning attitude along with former Team USA checker Charlie Conway as an assistant. Also annouced today were the additions of two former Charleston Cheifs to the coaching staff who have no previous coaching experience. They are Billy Charlesboy a Moose Jaw, SK native to look after the back end and Denny Lemieux the new francophone goaltending coach. In other news prima donna Dean Youngblood has been rumored to have signed with Bergland. The Gangbang have a press conference scheduled for later today where it's expected they'll deny the team is for sale and is heading to Florida. Speculation started when part owner Owen Wilson went over the edge a few months back. |
