Irrashaishimase to my shrine to one of the most talented jrock vocalist. Hyde from the band L'arc en ciel. One day, more like night while looking for real audio files of songs from the anime GW, I came across a site that offered songs from L'arc en ciel. I got curious about the band and I decided to download a song of theirs. The song, "Forbidden Lover" which is quite ironic considering the fact that Hyde is my forbidden lover *cries* But anyway, I really liked what I heard and decided to download some more. The second song I downloaded was "What is love" I choose the songs based on the titles. I really liked Hyde's voice. It's really beautiful and deep and one can help but be impressed with his vocal talent. Listening to "Forbidden Lover" and "What is love" kinda put me in a sad mood due to the theme of the songs. But now "Forbidden lover" is one of my favorite Laruku songs. Later on I d/l-ed "Caress of Venus" and some other songs that my friend Firia recommended to me. I wasn't all too interested in finding about the band and at that point I had no idea as to what jrock was. But then suddenly one day I decided to find out more about Laruku and so my little venture into the jrock world started. I saw a few pics of Hyde and read info on him and was needless to say spellbound by both his voice and his looks ^^. I love his lips and there's something about his eyes that are sweet but can have a devilish expression in them ^^. But anyway my first fav L'arc song was "Caress of Venus" I really like the music in their songs. It's very different from the stuff you here daily in the US. My second fav song was "Be destined" and then "Dive to blue" and "Snow drop" lol I like all their songs. But my all time fav is probably "Honey." It's hard but those are the ones I listen to most frequently. Recently I like "Stay away" and "Blurry eyes" I love his voice in that song. Also my fav song to sing along to is "Neo Universe." I liked them so much that I decided to get their "Clicked singles best 13," "Dune," "Ray" and "Spirit Dreams Inside ~another Dream" cds/single. I love them. I'm planning to buy more Lauku cds when I get money. Ahh b/t anime and jrock I'm broke ^^;; One night while listening to the "Clicked singles...." cd on my bed, my eyes closed and a thought came to my head and it confirmed my obsession. "A website!" I debated whether or not to make it. And talked with several friends about it. But I finally decided that it was the best way to vent and stop annoying my friends with my constant Hyde banther; it's like therapy. Ohhh you Hyde fangirls out there know what I'm talking about ne? L'arc en ciel is a great band and I grow to love their music even more everytime I listen to it. Filled with talented musicians and one of the best jrock vocalist. ^^ I hope that if you're a first time Laruku fan or new to jrock that this site will help you interested in rock in Japanese. Through L'arc en ciel, I've come to learn more about jrock and love some of the other amazing bands and musicians that are out there, such as Luna Sea, Dir en Grey, Gackt, X Japan and hide.
