Stacey began designing/developing websites in the fall of 1995. Her first site was created while she was attending the University of Texas at Austin for the course Computers and Writing. Most of the assignments were to be submitted in the form of a website. It was during this course that she became intrigued with designing for the web. Since then, the desire to develop web media has grown and her skills have matured. Her style has become more refined and clean. She operated her own design company (WeddingMemory.com) from 1999-2000. WeddingMemory.com specialized in the announcement of weddings on the web. It was a great format for couples to announce their wedding to those both near and far. Stacey has offered her services on more than one occassion to help a local Family History Center announce upcoming seminars. Each of these seminars has pulled in hundreds of genealogists of all skill levels with the help of online registration. As a mother, she tries to maintain the family site as regularly as possible. It is through this site that she shares the events that distant family would be unable to see otherwise. She enjoys putting together digital scrapbooks to remember various events. Web design is one of Stacey's true passions. She strives to make each site she designs a masterpiece for the web, a piece that stands out from the rest. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys reading and studying about web usability and design. She believes that every site should be accessible by everyone who wants to use it. |
