Buffy the vampire slayer: Call of the Siren: The Walkthrough.

This walkthrough is divided up by character. Below is the list of characters, each with their own individual puzzles, just click on a character to get started.
There is one item that is the most important item in the game, and since you have chosen to read the Walkthrough, I'll tell you what it is. It is a pink tape with a recording of the "Siren Music." It has magical properties used to solve most of the puzzles, in a variety of ways. It is found in the music room with Oz and Willow, the doorway straight ahead when you begin the game.

Amy Madison:
The blonde student, who is also a witch. She is from the TV show. Here is the solution:

  • The tape is not used for her.
  • You need a sledgehammer from the Janitor's room. Enter the bathroom, GET on the sink near the drain to get a ring from there. Go to the Janitor's room and USE ITEM the ring on him to give it to him. He will let you GET the sledgehammer afterward. (If you talk to him first, he asks for you to find it.)
  • Enter her room and GET her purse, which doesn't take the purse, but gets a Love Potion out of it. You can TALK to her too.
  • Exit the school and go to Xander's house and enter.
  • USE ITEM the sledgehammer on the Piggy Bank to get the coins out of it. (You could pick it up first.)
  • Return to the school and go to the cafeteria, and USE ITEM the coins on the coke machine to get a Coke.
  • USE ITEM the love potion on the coke to spike it.
  • Go to Amy and USE ITEM the coke on her to give it to her. The sex scene begins. Use a lot of TOUCH messages.

Miss Chambers:
A teacher (not from the TV show, but made up for the game.) Here is the solution:

  • Find her and TALK to her.
  • She sends you to Giles, so go TALK to Giles to get the audio book she asked for.
  • You can't just give it to her, you have to get her to listen to the Siren Music somehow.
    Switching the tapes doesn't work, and trying to switch the labels does not work.
  • ACTION the box with the tape to take the tape out.
  • Go to the Music Room with Oz.
  • USE ITEM both the audio book tape and the pink Siren tape, doing the action on the dual cassette tape player in the room, to load them.
  • ACTION the tape player to copy the Siren music over the audio book.
  • GET on the tape player to remove both tapes.
  • USE ITEM the audio tape on the box it came in to put it back inside.
  • Go to Miss Chambers room and USE ITEM the box with tape on Chambers to give it to her.
  • Now the sex scene begins. You will need to use some TALKs before the TOUCHes start.

Cordelia:
Xander's girlfriend, but they haven't had sex together yet. Here is the solution:

  • Her puzzle is the easiest. Take the tape and USE ITEM it on the stereo in the library, and the sex scene begins. Then use the TOUCH command a few times.

Janitor:
You will need some items from he janitor's room to solve some puzzles and finish the game. He will let you GET items if you find his lost wedding ring and return it to him. After GETting the ring, USE ITEM it on the janitor to give it to him. The ring is in the school bathroom, in the drain of the sink. Using GET, click inside the sink near the drain to pick up the ring which you can't actually see.

Miss Sothers and Julie Masters:
Miss Sothers the teacher and Julie Masters the student (who is in detention) are not from the TV show, they are made up for the game. Here is the solution:

  • If you enter their room, you hear Principal Snyder talking over the P.A. system.
  • Go to the lockers, and ACTION the bottom locker, second from the right, to open it.
  • GET the white letter. If you examine it you see it is a love note, *unsigned*, arranging a makeout session in the Janitor's locker. Also GET the walkman
  • Things can be done in different orders, but here is the fastest way.
  • Go to school bathroom, GET on the sink near the drain to get a hidden key. Take it to the Janitor's room, USE ITEM the key to give it to him, and then he leaves. Then GET the key that is hanging from the workbench on the right side.
  • Go to Snyder's office. Give him the love letter (if you talked to him, you'd see a clue for why.) He runs off.
  • Return to outside the janitor's room and USE ITEM the key on the door to lock it.
  • Return to Snyder's office and USE ITEM the Siren tape on the walkman to put it inside.
  • USE ITEM the walkman/tape combination on the P.A. system microphone to play the tape in the detention room. (Snyder hears it from the janitor's room, that is why you locked him in.)
  • Go to the detention room, and the sex scene is ready to begin. Go through a series of TOUCH commands.

Willow:
Xander's best friend from the TV show. Here is the solution:

  • Her puzzle is pretty easy.
  • After getting the Siren tape, Willow runs off to her house (resisting the spell with great effort.)
  • Go to the library and get Willow's Homework off of the table.
  • Go to the lockers, ACTION the locker on the bottom, second from the right, to open it. GET the walkman that is in there.
  • Go to Willow's house and enter.
  • USE ITEM the homework on Willow to give it to her.
  • USE ITEM the siren tape on the walkman to put it inside, then USE ITEM the combined items on Willow to have her hear the music.
  • Now the sex scene is started, go through the TOUCH commands.

Joyce:
Buffy's mom. Here is the solution:

  • Go to the school bathroom, GET in the sink near the drain to get a key. Take the key to the Janitor's room and USE ITEM to give it to him, then he leaves.
  • Now you can take the ladder and the sledgehammer out of the Janitor's room.
  • Go to the lockers, ACTION the locker at the bottom, second from the right, to open it. GET the walkman out of there.
  • Exit the school and go to Buffy's house and enter.
  • TALK to Joyce (required), and you see that she is too busy watching TV to pay you any attention.
  • Walk outside, in front of the house and USE ITEM the ladder on the house to prop it up.
  • Climbing the ladder is optional, but you have to USE ITEM the sledgehammer on the satellite dish to smash it.
  • USE ITEM the Siren tape on the walkman to put the tape inside.
  • Enter the house and USE ITEM the walkman/tape combined item on Joyce.
  • After hearing the music, Joyce goes into her room, follow her and the sex scene begins, use TOUCHes.

Drusilla:
An evil, but sexy, female vampire. Most scenes can be done in any order, but this one must come after the Cordelia sex scene is completed, otherwise you can't find Drusilla. Here is the solution:

  • Complete the sex scene with Cordelia. See her section in the walkthrough for instructions.
  • As Cordelia's sex scene is started, Buffy hears the Siren music and runs off, evidently to see her ex-lover Angel, who happens to be an evil vampire now, but she seems to overlook that fact now.
  • Exit the school and go to the Bronze and enter it.
  • GET a pool cue off the rack on the wall. Then GET a second pool cue.
  • Go to the factory and enter it (the outline of the doorway can be seen faintly if you look closely.) Buffy is held prisoner inside there by 3 vampires.
  • USE ITEM a pool cue on Spike to slay him.
  • USE ITEM the second pool cue on Angel to slay him.
  • Now do any action, and then you are given the choice to leave with Buffy or stay with Drusilla.
  • To leave, just exit the room without doing anything else. Leaving at that point does not get you anywhere with Buffy yet, nowhere that you can't get by leaving after sex with Drusilla.
  • To stay with Drusilla, TALK with her or TOUCH her. Now there is no turning back.
  • IMPORTANT - At some point during the sex scene, before it is over, USE ITEM the Siren tape on the radio that is in the factory to put her under the spell, or face the consequences.
  • The sex scene is started, just go through your TOUCH commands, being sure to touch her all over to get her undressed.

Giles:
The scene with Giles relates to Sarah Calling, the Siren, and a way to kill the Siren (which is a Demon.) You can see Sarah's section for details on her, but know that there are 2 ways to kill the Siren. If Buffy helps you because you had previously saved her from the vampires, you don't need any items. If Buffy is still held prisoner when you face the Siren, you need a weapon to kill it with. Giles can help you get the weapon by doing research. Here are the steps:

  • First, you have to finish 2 sex scenes, and one of them has to be Cordelia.
  • After Cordelia's sex scene is over, Giles returns to the library and is there alone, but you still have to have the second sex scene done before he will do research.
  • Go to the library and go through a series of TALK messages with Giles. He is hiding something, and you have to find out what and confront him with it.
  • Go to the school bathroom (this is after Giles has already heard the Siren music in the library at the start of Cordelia's sex scene.) Look in the mirror and you will see an item on top of the toilet. Pick it up.
  • The item is a sexy photo of Jenny Calender, Giles' girlfriend who is out of town at the moment.
    Giles was 'relieving sexual tension' in the privacy of the bathroom with the assistance of the photo.
  • Take it to the library and give it to Giles. Now that you have confronted him, Giles admits that there is something strange going on and he will help you find out what. (Before being given the photo, he was acting defensive, didn't want to admit anything because he was embarrassed.)
  • Giles starts his research, but he will need help before he can get any results.
  • There are 2 things you can do to help him, you only have to do one of them. The easy one is to go to Sarah's room and TALK to her. (The TALK has to happen after Giles has started his research.) By questioning her you will get a clue you need. Your other choice is to go through the sex scene with Willow, and at the end, while still in her room, GET or EXAMINE the book on the table next to her to read it, and find the clue there. After either method, go back and TALK to Giles, he will then find the instructions on how to build a weapon to kill the Siren.
  • The instructions call for a 4:3 mixture of HCl and HF acid.
  • Go to the chemistry lab.
  • GET the two brown bottles in on the counter, and GET 2 other areas (the back cabinet and an area in the back area of the counter where the bottles came from.) You don't actually see what you are getting at that point, but among the miscellaneous stuffy, you find 2 beakers.
  • Now you have 4 items. 2 bottles and 2 beakers. One beaker holds 3 ounces and the other holds 5 ounces. The trick is to get 4 ounces of HCl into the 5 ounce beaker, and then fill the 3 ounce beaker with HF to have the correct ratio. At that point, the mixing of the acids is taken care of automatically for you.
  • Here is the step by step instructions. Some advice is to have USE ITEM selected, and when you need to change the selected item without using what was already selected, right click on the new item.
  • Select the HCl bottle, USE ITEM it on the 5 ounce beaker, then USE ITEM the 5 ounce beaker on the 3 ounce beaker, then USE ITEM the 3 ounce beaker on the HCl bottle to dump it. Then USE ITEM the 5 ounce beaker on the 3 ounce beaker again to transfer the remaining 2 ounces into it. Then USE ITEM the HCl bottle on the 5 ounce beaker and USE ITEM the 5 ounce beaker on the 3 ounce beaker again, which leaves you with the 4 ounces in the 5 ounce beaker you needed. USE ITEM the 3 ounce beaker on the HCl bottle to empty it, and then USE ITEM the HF bottle on the 3 ounce beaker and YOU ARE DONE, you have the correct ratio of acids and the mixing happens automatically. You know you succeeded when the 4 items merge into just 1 item.
  • Now you have built your Siren killing weapon, so when you face the Siren, you can USE ITEM the acid mixture on the Siren to kill it.

*Keep in mind, it is simpler than it sounds, and it isn't a required action to win the game anyway.*

Sarah Calling:
Sarah Calling is not from the TV show, she was made up for the game. She is a very important character and don't start reading her walkthrough section unless you want aspects of the game given away. She is actually the Siren (surprise, surprise.) She is staying at Buffy's house, in the downstairs bedroom. After you get the Siren tape, you can start talking to her to get an idea of what she is. You want to have sex with her, but she requires that you have sex with 5 other ladies first (I won't explain why here.) When the game starts, there are 7 ladies you can possibly have sex with to satisfy that requirement. You just need to accomplish 5 of them to get to the Sarah/Siren sex scene and finish the game. If you talk to Sarah after having sex, but you haven't reached your target number yet, she lets you know.

After starting the sex scene with Sarah, you are going to come face to face with the Siren, and it is a potentially deadly situation. There are 2 alternate ways of surviving. One way is to save Buffy from the vampires at the factory. She will interrupt the sex scene and help you kill the Siren. In that situation, there is no way for you to fail, just use the verbs and you will be ok. If Buffy wasn't saved from the vampires yet, you are on your own. See the Giles Research section of the walkthrough for instructions on how to survive the Siren encounter alone. If you have to face the Siren alone, the sex scene with her goes to the very end. If Buffy shows up, it gets cut-off half way through.

Buffy:
Buffy's sex scene comes at the very end of the game, after the Siren is killed. If you have saved Buffy from the vampires (See the section Drusilla) then she helps you kill the Siren and all you have to do then is go to Buffy's room for the sex scene. If you kill the Siren yourself, and Buffy is still a captive of the vampires, you have to go rescue her and then go to Buffy's room for the sex scene.

If you rescue Buffy from the vampires before fighting the Siren, then Buffy goes to take a bath after the vampire encounter. You can go to Buffy's house, enter her bedroom, and then enter the bathroom to find her in the bathtub. In that scene, you can try and TOUCH her, and you will get a message for each picture, but you will not get any action with her. What you can do is to keep TALKing to her, cycling through a lot of messages, and seeing some new pictures, until she throws you out of the room. There will be no sex at that point, and, by the way, you cannot pick up any items from her bathroom.
