Lynne
McGranger: Irene Roberts
Lynne McGranger was born in the Sydney
suburb of Paddington on January 29.
Before Lynne, started thinking about her
acting career, she was a primary school teacher. She graduated from the
Riverian College of Advanced Education in 1975.
Lynne has always been interested in performing.
She grew up learning ballet and modern dance. Then 1982 and 1983, she followed
her interest by studying acting, voice, dance, mime and gymnastics with
Penrith's Q Theatre.
She performed in several Q Theatre productions
including Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, As You Like It and Alan Aykbourne's:
How The Other Half Loves.
In 1993, she joined the cast of Home and
Away as a guest, but soon became a permanent cast member.
Over the past few years, Lynne's character
Irene Roberts has managed to control her alcholism, made peace with her
children Fin and Damian (who were fostered out when she could not care
for them) and became an intregral part of the Summer Bay community.
She is still a bit of a rough diamond,
but her heart is definitely in the right place.
Zac
Drayson: Will Smith
Zac Drayson was born on Januay 14, 1983,
in Sydney. He currently lives with his mother, father. older sister, brother
and his two dogs.
Although he has become a regular cast
member on Home and Away, Zac continues to attend a performing arts school.
Zac has been allowed to perform in various plays for the arts school.
When Zac went to audition for a part in
Home and Away, he auditioned for the role of Tom Nash, which Graeme Squires
got instead. But the producers knew that Zac was the one to play the character
of Will Smith.
When Zac found out that he got a part
in Home and Away, he was stoked and thrilled.
Rebecca
Cartwright: Hayley Smith
Rebecca was born on the 23rd of July 1983,
and plays Hayley Smith, Will's sister who came to Summer Bay to search
for him.
Rebecca has had leading roles on some
of the most favourite Tv Shows. Such as Police Rescue, Heartbreak High,
Water Rats and Totally Wild.
She has been involved with television
commercial since 1998, including Kellog's, Pizza Hut, KFC, Colgate, Coca-Cola,
Milo and Chrysler Jeep.
Chris
Egan: Nick Smith
Chris was born on the 29th June, 1984.
He joined Home and Away, playing the role of Nick Smith, Will (Zac Drayson)
and Hayley's (Rebecca Cartwright) younger brother.
At the age of 15, Chris enjoyed his first
role on a television series. He has always been interested in drama and
knew from a young age that it was the path he wanted to follow.
Chris has always been fascinated with
acting, so when he got the role on Home and Away, it was a dream come true.
Before joining Home and Away, he attended
a performing Arts School which happened to be the same school that Zac
Drayson attended. He trained at 'Kick Performance Group' for three years,
which was a course that involved singing, dancing and acting classes.
